Abstract

Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf einen Kolben (1) sowie einen Motor­ block (6) einer Brennkraftmaschine mit einem darin geführten Kolben (1) und mit mindestens einem darin geführten, eine Mittelachse (6.3, 6.4) aufweisenden Gaswechselventil (6.1, 6.2). Der Kolben (1) hat einen eine Mittelachse (M) aufweisenden Kolbenmantel (1.1) und einen den Kolbenmantel (1.1) nach oben begrenzenden Kolbenboden (2) mit einem Durchmesser (D). Der Kolbenboden (2) ist gebildet aus einem Kolbenbodenrand (2.1) sowie einer Kolbenbodenmulde (2.2) mit einer eine Höhe (H) aufweisenden Kolbenmuldenwand (3). Im Kolbenbodenmuldenrand (2.1) ist mindestens eine Ventiltasche (5.1) eingelassen, die im kalten Zustand einen Mindestabstand a zum Gaswechselventil (6.1) aufweist, der einen sicheren Freigang des geöffneten Gaswechselventils (6.1) gewährleistet, mit 1 mm < a < 2 mm. Mindestens eine Ventiltasche (5.1-5.4) ist, zumindest teilweise, wesentlich tiefer ausgebildet ist als für den Freigang des geöffneten Gaswechselventils (6.3, 6.4) notwendig ist. Der Abstand a ist zumindest im Bereich der Kolbenmuldenwand (3) auf einen Ab­ stand A vergrößert, mit A >= + 2 mm.
