La présente invention est relative à des émulaient photographiques à base d'halogénure d'argent ,contenant de nou- veaux colorants sensibilisateurs.
Les colorants sensibilisateurs connus en pratique sont des colorants de cyanine, des colorants de mérocyanine et des colorants complexes de dyanine, englobant de la pyridine, de la quinoléine, du thiazole, de la thiazoline, de l'oxazole, de l'oxazoline, de l'imidazole, du benzothiazole, du benzimidazole,

du naphtothiazole ou du benzosélénoazole comme noyaux de départ.

La présente invention se rapporte à des émulsions photographiques d'halogénure d'argent, contenant des colorants ayant un groupe 2-[20-(3-suifopropoxy)éthoxy]étyyle à titre de groupe Q dans les noyaux de départ mentionnés ci-dessus. De façon plua particulière, la présente invention concerne des émulsions photographiques à base d'halogénure d'argent utilisant de nou- veaux colorants sensibilisateurs comportant des noyaux hétérocy- cliques dont un substituant lié à au moins un atome d'azote hétérocyclique est représenté par la formeule suivante :

Les colorants sensibilisateurs utilisés dans la pré- sente invention sont de nouveaux composés et une émulsion pho- tographique d'halogénure d'argent contenant un tel colorant sen- sibilisateur est excellente en ce sens qu'une souillure résiduai- re est faible après les traitements ,car le colorant est plus hydrophile.
De plus, l'interréaction avec les agents tensio- actifs , les copulants et d'autres composés ayant des groupes anioniques est moindre, le pouvoir sensibilisateur des nouveaux colorants n'est pas amoindri par leur coexistence et la

souillure d'un film d'image par le colorant résiduaire après le développement et le fixage d'une matière sensible à la lumière contenant le colorant sensibilisateur est moindre,
Il y avait des cas antérieurement où une concentration requise pour l'addition d'un colorant à une émulsion.ne pouvait pas être obtenue du fait que la solubilité du colorant dans un solvant organique , tel que le méthanol et l'éthanol , était,'- faible, mais, suivant la présente invention, il est devenu plus facile de purifier le colorant durant la synthèse,
pour préparer une solution de ce colorant et ajouter cette solution à une émul= sion , le colorant utilisé suivant la présente invention étant excellent.pour ce qui concerne la solubilité dans les solvants organiques.
Les nouveaux colorants sensibilisateurs utilisés sui- vant la présente invention peuvent sensibiliser des émulsions photographiques d'halogénure d'argent par voie spectrale . Le colorants sensibilisateurs utilisés suivant la présente invention sont intéressants en particulier pour étendre la sensibilité sapc- trale des émulsions de gélatine et d'halogénure d'argent.
Le colorant utilisé suivant la présente invention peut sensibiliser de façon appropriée des émulsions photographiques contenant des colloïdes perméables à l'eau, autres que la gélatine , les déri- vés de cellulose solubles dans l'eau, l'alcool polyvinylique ou d'autres résines synthétiques ou naturelles hydrophiles ou d'au- tres composés polymères.
Lorsqu'on désire préparer une émulsion photographique sensibilisée par un ou pleuierue des nouveaux colorants sensibili- sateurs . ce ou ces colorants peuvent être ajoutés à une émulsion photographique suivant l'une quelconque des méthodes couramment utilisées dans la technique de la fabrication des émulsions.
D'une façon générale , le colorant est ajouté à l'émulsion sous la forme d'une solution dans un solvant convenable. La concentra-

tion du colorant dana l'émulsion peut varier dans une gamme très large , en étant de préférence de 1 à 150 mg par kilo de l'émul- sion , et cette concentration peut être déterminée suivant l'affet désiré.
Le nouveau colorant sensibilisateur peut être ajouté - à une émulsion photographique dont la sensibilité est accrue tota- lement par le veillissement physique et chimique.
L'émulsion photographique de la présente invention , sensibilisée par le nouveau colorant sensibiilisateur peut encore être soumise à la sursensibilisation et à l'hypersensibilisation par l'une quelconque des méthodes connues des spécialistes en ce domaine. Dans la production de l'mulsion photographique de la présente invention, on peut ajouter des additifs courants , tels que des stabilisants, des agents anti-bronzage, des durcissants, des agents mouillants, des inhibiteurs de voile, des plastifiants, des agents accélérant le développement, des copulants et des agents d'éclairement fluorescents.
L'émulsion photographique sensibilisée par le nouveau colorant sensibilisateur peut être appliquée en couche sur un support convenable, tel que du verre, un' film d'un dérivé de cel- lulose, un film d'une résine synthétique et du papier baryte, et ce de la façon habituelle.
Le procédé général de synthèse du colorant utilisé dans la présente invention se développe de la façon suivante.

EXEMPLE
Le nouveau colorant sensibilisateur a été ajouté & une émulsion d'iodobromure d'argent (rapport molaire Agi/agBr- 7/93) et à une émulsion de chlorobromure d'argent (rapport molaire ! AgBr/AgCl - 40/60). Les émulsions contenant les colorants zensibi- lisateurs ont été appliquées en couche individuellement sur des bases de fibre, et chacun des revêtements a ensuite été expose à une lumière du jour de 64 lux (54000K). Comme révélateurs, on a utilisé le D-76 pour l'émulsion d'iodobromure d'argent et le D-72 pour l'émulsion de chlorobromure d'argent.
On a utilisé un spectre- graphe d'un type à réseau de dtfraction (température de couleur de la source lumineuse :: 2854 K). Au tableau suivant,on donne le maximum de sensibilisation dans le cas où les colorants sont ajoutés aux émulsions.
