"áCIDO NUCLEICO ISOLADO OU RECOMBINANTE OU FRAGMENTO FUNCIONAL DO MESMO, MOLéCULA PROTEINáCEA, VETOR, HOSPEDEIRO, PLANTA OU MATERIAL DE PROPAGAçãO DERIVADO DA MESMA, MéTODO PARA PRODUZIR UM SABOR, FRAGRâNCIA E/OU AGENTE DE BIO-CONTROLE, COMPOSTO, USOS DE UM COMPOSTO, DE UM áCIDO NUCLEICO OU DE UM FRAGMENTO DO MESMO, E DE UMA MOLéCULA PROTEINáCEA, COMPOSIçãO, E, MéTODO DE TRATAMENTO DE DOENçA". A invenção refere-se ao campo de engenharia genética de desenvolvimento de sabor, fragrância e agente de bio-controle. Mais especificamente, ela refere-se a um processo para a produção de sabores, fragrâncias e agentes de bio-controle naturais pelo controle de um ou mais genes implicados no processo. A invenção provê um ácido nucleico isolado ou recombinante ou fragmento funcional do mesmo codificando uma molécula proteinácea essencialmente capaz de síntese de sabor, fragrância e/ou agente de bio-controle quando provido com um substrato apropriado sob condições de reação apropriadas. A invenção ainda provê um ácido nucleico ou fragrância funcional do mesmo codificando uma molécula proteinácea essencialmente capaz de sintetizar pelo menos um álcool monoterpeno linalool quando contatada com difosfatos de geranila (GPP) e/ou pelo menos um álcool sesquiterpeno nerolidol quando contatada com difosfato de farnesila (FPP) sob condições de reação apropriadas.
