Em um método para produzir substância alvo pela utilização de um microorganismo, compreendendo cultivar uma bactéria Escherichia em um meio para produzir e acumular a substância alvo no meio ou nas células e coletar a substância alvo, por exemplo uma, cepa em que o gene fis no cromossoma seja rompido de modo que a proteína FIS não funcione normalmente na célula, é usada como a bactéria.
