Abstract

"AGENTES CITOTóXICOS MELHORADOS COMPREENDENDO NOVOS MAYTANSINóIDES". São apresentados novos maytansinóides contendo dissulfeto que carregam uma substituição de mono ou di-alquila no átomo de <244>-carbono que transporta o átomo de enxofre. Também apresentados são os métodos para a síntese destes novos maytansinóides e métodos para a ligação destes novos maytansinóides aos agentes de ligação celular. Os conjugados de maytansinóide-agente de ligação celular são úteis como agentes terapêuticos, que são liberados especificamente nas células alvos e são citotóxicos. Estes conjugados apresentam eficácia terapêutica vastamente melhorada em modelos de tumor animal comparados com os agentes anteriormente descritos.
