Abstract
"EMPLASTRO PARA IMUNIZAçãO TENDO UM ARRANJO DE MICROPROJEçõES, E MéTODO". A presente invenção refere-se a elementos de microprojeções (10) que têm um reservatório que contém um agente antigênico, e métodos para usar tais elementos para vacinar mamíferos (como por exemplo, humanos). Os elementos de microprojeções são usados para distribuir por via transdérmica um agente antigênico (como por exemplo, um antígeno de vacina), com reações da pele substancialmente reduzidas. Isso é conseguido distribuindo uma quantidade indutora, e depois disso, distribuindo uma ou mais quantidades subseqüentes de reforço. A quantidade indutora é relativamente maior do que a quantidade de reforço. Esta tecnologia tem ampla aplicabilidade para uma ampla série de vacinas terapêuticas, para melhorar a eficácia e a conveniência do uso.
