Abstract

L'invention concerne un processeur (100) de signaux numériques utilisé pour des calculs d'annulation d'écho. Ce processeur comprend des multiplicateurs/additionneurs parallèles (102/104 et 106/108), une mémoire d'étalonnage (120) de signal d'entrée, et une pluralité d'accumulateurs (112, 114, 116, 118) pour le stockage temporaire des résultats des calculs effectués. Par conséquent, les résultats des calculs ne doivent pas tous être sauvegardés dans une mémoire de données externe (136, 138), ce qui minimise les goulots d'étranglement du transfert de données et augmente nettement l'efficacité calculatoire du processeur (100) de signaux numériques. Les calculs pour les mises à jour du coefficient du filtre adaptatif peuvent donc se faire beaucoup plus rapidement, ce qui fait que les coefficients du filtre adaptatif peuvent être copiés beaucoup plus rapidement d'un filtre à l'autre. Le processeur (100) de signaux numériques a une complexité calculatoire bien moindre que celle des processeurs de signaux numériques actuels.
