Description

  

      Verfahren        zur        Darstellung    eines     Entwicklerfarbstoffes.       . Es wurde gefunden, dass ein wertvoller       Entwicklerfarbstoff    erhalten wird,- wenn man       tetrazotiertes        o-Tolidin    in molekularem Ver  hältnis mit     2'-Methyl-3'-amino-5'-sulfo-l-          phenyl-5-pyrazolon-3-karbonsäure    zu einem  Zwischenprodukt vereinigt und dasselbe in  alkalischer Lösung mit     2-Amino-8-naphtol-6-          sulfosäure        weiterkuppelt.     



  Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein braun  schwarzes Pulver, das sich in Wasser mit       violettbrauner,    in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure  mit blauvioletter Farbe löst. Er färbt     unge-          beizte    Baumwolle in     violettbraunen    Tönen,  welche durch     Diazotieren    auf der Faser und  nachfolgende Entwicklung mit     Betanaphtol     ohne wesentliche     Nuancenänderung    waschecht  fixiert werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Zu der     Tetrazoditolyllösung    aus 21,2  Teilen     o-Tolidin    lässt man bei 0-5  C die  Lösung des     Trinatriumsalzes    von 31,3 Teilen 2'       1VIethyl-3'-amino-5'-sulfo-l-phenyl-5-pyrazolon-          3-karbonsäure    zufliessen. Sobald kein unver  ändertes     Tetrazoditolyl    mehr nachgewiesen  werden kann, gibt man die Lösung von 20  Teilen     kalzinierter    Soda und hierauf die    schwach     phenolphtalein-alkalische    Lösung von  23,9 Teilen     2-Amino-8-naphtol-6-sulfosäure    zu.  Die     Kombination    ist nach wenigen Stunden  beendigt.

   Man     neutrali,iert    alsdann die braun  violette Lösung mit Salzsäure und salzt den  Farbstoff aus.

It has been found that a valuable developer dye is obtained - if one adds tetrazotized o-tolidine in a molecular ratio with 2'-methyl-3'-amino-5'-sulfo-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone-3-carboxylic acid combined with an intermediate product and coupled the same in alkaline solution with 2-amino-8-naphthol-6-sulfonic acid.



  The new dye forms a brown-black powder that dissolves in water with a violet-brown color, and in concentrated sulfuric acid with a blue-violet color. It dyes unpickled cotton in violet-brown shades, which are fixed by diazotizing on the fiber and subsequent development with betanaphtol without any significant change in shade.



  <I> Example: </I> To the tetrazoditolyl solution of 21.2 parts of o-tolidine, the solution of the trisodium salt of 31.3 parts of 2 '1VIethyl-3'-amino-5'-sulfo- l-phenyl-5-pyrazolone-3-carboxylic acid flow in. As soon as no more unchanged tetrazoditolyl can be detected, the solution of 20 parts of calcined soda and then the weakly phenolphthalein-alkaline solution of 23.9 parts of 2-amino-8-naphthol-6-sulfonic acid are added. The combination ends after a few hours.

   The brown-violet solution is then neutralized with hydrochloric acid and the dye is salted out.
