  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Azofarbstoffes.       Veröffentlicht am 2. Januar 1929    Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines     Azofarb-          stoffes    aus     diazotiertem        5-Nitro        2-amirro-l-          toluol    und     2.3-Oxynaphtoesäure-5-chlor--2-          toluidid.     



  Der Farbstoff kann für sich allein zwecks  Verwendung als bordeauxroter Pigmentfarb  stoff hergestellt werden, er liefert einen leuch  tend bordeauxroten Farbton von hervorragen  der     Alkaliechtbeit,        Ätzbarkeit    und Licht  echtheit.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  Die aus 15,2     gr        5-Nitro-2-amino-l-toluol     in üblicher Weise dargestellte     Diazoverbin-          dung    lässt man unter Rühren in eine wässerige  Suspension von 33     gr        2.3-Oxynaphtoesäure-          5-chlor-2-toluidid    einfliessen, bereitet durch  Auflösen in Natronlauge und Wiederausfällen    mit verdünnter Essigsäure. Der Farbstoff  scheidet sich in bordeauxroten Flocken aus,  wird filtriert, gewaschen und getrocknet.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Darstellung eines neuen Azofarbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Diazoverbindungvon 5-Nitro-2-amino- 1-toluol mit 2.3-Oxynaphtoesäure-5-chlor-2- toluidid kuppelt. Der neue Farbstoff ist von bordeauxroter Farbe und die mit ihm auf der Faser hergestellten Färbungen besitzen einen klaren, bordeauxroten Farbton und sind von hervorragender Alkaliechtheit, Ätzbarkeit und Lichtechtheit.
