Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Kondensationsproduktes aus 1,1-Dimethyl-cyclohepten-(2)-aldehyd-(3) und Nethyläthylketon. Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines bis her unbekannten Kondensationsproduktes aus 1,1-Dimethyl-cyclohepten-(2)-aldehyd-(3) und Methyläthylketon, welches dadurch gekenn zeichnet ist, dass man ein Gemisch des 1,1- Dimethyl-cyclohepten-(2)-aldehyd-(3) und des Methyläthylketons mit einem Kondensations mittel behandelt.
Das Kondensationsprodukt ist eine bei 100-103 (0,3 mm) siedende Flüssigkeit von Veilchengeruch und kann als Riechstoff Ver wendung finden.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 100 gr 1,1-Dimethyl-cyclohepten-(2)-alde- hyd-(3) werden in 200 cm' Methyläthylketon gelöst und mit einer Lösung von 5 gr Natrium in 75 cm' Methylalkohol versetzt. Das Gemisch wird nach einiger Zeit mit Oaalsäure ange- säuert und nach dem Abdestillieren der Lö sungsmittel in Äther aufgenommen und mit Sodalösung gewaschen. Der Siedepunkt des Kondensationsproduktes liegt bei<B>100-1030</B> (0,3 mm).

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a previously unknown condensation product from 1,1-dimethyl-cycloheptene- (2) -aldehyde- (3) and methyl ethyl ketone, which is characterized in that a mixture of 1,1- Dimethyl cycloheptene (2) aldehyde (3) and methyl ethyl ketone treated with a condensation agent.
The condensation product is a liquid with a violet odor boiling at 100-103 (0.3 mm) and can be used as a fragrance.
<I> Example: </I> 100 g 1,1-dimethyl-cyclohepten- (2) -alde- hyd- (3) are dissolved in 200 cm 'methyl ethyl ketone and with a solution of 5 g sodium in 75 cm' methyl alcohol offset. After some time, the mixture is acidified with oaal acid and, after the solvents have been distilled off, taken up in ether and washed with soda solution. The boiling point of the condensation product is <B> 100-1030 </B> (0.3 mm).
