Abstract

Procédé pour préparer le méthyl-nonyl-acétaldéhyde à partir de l'undécanal et du formaldéhyde ou d'une substance libérant du formaldéhyde en présence de quantités catalytiques d'une amine secondaire On utilise l'undécanal sous la forme du mélange de réaction obtenu à l'hydroformylation du 1-décène, le catalyseur est la di-n-butylamine, le rapport molaire catalyseur/undécanal va de 0,025 à 0,050: 1, la réaction est effectuée à une température de 90 à 100 degrés C, et le 2-méthyl-undécanal obtenu est ensuite converti par hydrogénation partielle en méthyl-nonyl-acétaldéhyde.
