Claims (7)

  1. Amphotericin B-Zusammensetzung, umfassend Partikel von Amphotericin B, die Cholesterinsulfat in einem Molverhältnis von Amphotericin B zu Cholesterinsulfat von 1:1 bis 1:4 enthalten.
  2. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, worin die Partikel in einem wäßrigen Medium suspendiert sind und eine Partikelgröße zwischen 100-400 nm aufweisen.
  3. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 2, die durch die Verfahrensschritte erhalten wurde:
    (a) Dispergieren einer wäßrigen Suspension von Amphotericin B und Cholesterinsulfat in einem Molverhältnis von 1:1 bis 1:4 bis zur optischen Klärung,
    (b) Lyophilisieren der Suspension in Gegenwart eines Kälteschutzmittels, ehe die Partikelgröße in der Suspension wesentlich zunimmt und
    (c) Rekonstituieren des lyophilisierten Materials mit einem wäßrigen Medium.
  4. Zusammensetzung nach Anspruch 1, worin das Molverhältnis von Amphotericin B und Cholesterinsulfat etwa 1:1 beträgt.
  5. Zusammensetzung nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 4 zur Verwendung bei der Behandlung von Pilzinfektionen.
  6. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Amphotericin B in einer Form, die einen LD₅₀-Wert von größer als 15 mg/kg aufweist, und die mit einem wäßrigen Medium zu Partikeln mit einer Große zwischen 100-400 nm rekonstituiert werden kann, umfassend
    (a) Dispergieren einer wäßrigen Suspension von Amphotericin B und Cholesterinsulfat in einem Molverhältnis zwischen 1:1 bis 1:4, bis zur optischen Klärung und
    (b) Lyophilisieren der Suspension in Gegenwart eines Kälteschutzmittels, ehe die Größe der Partikel in der Suspension wesentlich zunimmt.
  7. Verfahren nach Anspruch 6, in dem das Molverhältnis von Amphotericin B zu Cholesterin in der Suspension etwa 1:1 beträgt.
