Claims (7)

  1. Composition d'amphotéricine B comprenant des particules d'amphotéricine B contenant du sulfate de cholestérol, dans une proportion molaire de l'amphotéricine B au sulfate de cholestérol entre 1:1 et 1:4.
  2. Composition selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle les particules sont en suspension dans un milieu aqueux et ont des dimensions entre 100 et 400 nm.
  3. Composition selon la revendication 2, qui est produite selon les étapes de :
    (a) dispersion d'une suspension aqueuse d'amphotéricine B et de sulfate de cholestérol dans une proportion molaire entre 1:1 et 1:4 jusqu'à limpidité optique,
    (b) lyophilisation de la suspension en présence d'un cryoprotecteur avant que les dimensions des particules dans la suspension n'augmentent sensiblement et
    (b) reconstitution de la matière lyophilisée avec un milieu aqueux.
  4. Composition selon la revendication 1, dans laquelle la proportion molaire de l'amphotéricine B au sulfate de cholestérol est d'environ 1:1.
  5. Composition selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 4,pour l'utilisation dans le traitement des infections fongiques.
  6. Procédé de préparation d'amphotéricine B, sous une forme ayant une DL₅₀ supérieure à 15 mg/kg et qui peut être reconstituée avec un milieu aqueux, avec des dimensions des particules entre 100 et 400 nm, comprenant
    (a) la dispersion d'une suspension aqueuse d'amphotéricine B et de sulfate de cholestérol dans une proportion molaire entre 1:1 et 1:4 jusqu'à limpidité optique et
    (b) la lyophilisation de la suspension en présence d'un cryoprotecteur avant que les dimensions des particules dans la suspension n'augmentent sensiblement.
  7. Procédé selon la revendication 6, dans lequel la proportion molaire de l'amphotéricine B au cholestérol dans la suspension est d'environ 1:1.
