Abstract

Macromolecole immobilizzate come proteine o sequenze di acidi nucleici vengono marcate con etichette che inducono una reazione chemiluminescente in un sostrato a fase liquida. Quando la reazione sta avvenendo, il sostrato viene esposto ad uno schermo di fosfori che assorbe l'emissione chemiluminescente in una immagine della configurazione formata dalle macromolecole. L'energia assorbita viene poi rilasciata e letta, fornendo informazioni qualitative e facoltativamente quantitative riguardanti le macromolecole immobilizzate.
