Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は、プリンタに関し、特にページプリンタに関す
る。
〔従来の技術〕
従来のページプリンタは、上位装置からのコピー命令に
対応してスタッカを自動的に変化させる機能を有してい
なかった。
〔発明が解決しようとする課題〕
したがって、上述した従来のページプリンタは、スタッ
カを制御するために専用の命令を印刷データに付加する
必要があるという欠点がある。
〔課題を解決するための手段〕
本発明は、複数のスタッカと、印刷ずみの用紙を任意の
スタッカへ選択的に排出可能な用紙排出路とを含むソー
タを使用可能なページプリンタにおいて、上位装置から
のページコピー命令を解釈するコマンド解釈部と、ソー
タのスタッカを制御するソータコントロール部と、前記
ページコピー命令によって前記ソータのスタッカを自動
的に変化させる機能とを具備することを特徴とするもの
である。
〔実施例〕
次に本発明について図面を参照して説明する。
第１図は本発明の一実施例を示すブロック図である。デ
コード部１は上位装置からの印刷データによって印字機
構２を制御するとともに、同じく上位装置からのこの文
書データのコピーを３枚とるためのページコピー命令を
解釈し、実行するとともにソータ３を制御する。ソータ
３はデコード部１の制御によって、コピーされた印刷ず
み用紙をスタッカ５またはスタッカ６またはスタッカ７
へ排出する。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は、上位装置からのページコ
ピー命令に対応してソータのスタッカを自動的に変化さ
せる機能を有することにより、スタッカを制御するため
の専用の命令を印刷データに付加しなくてもソータが使
用可能となるという効果を奏する。

  1. 【特許請求の範囲】 １、複数のスタッカと、印刷ずみの用紙を任意のスタッ
    カへ選択的に排出可能な用紙排出路とを含むソータを使
    用可能なページプリンタにおいて、上位装置からのペー
    ジコピー命令を解釈するコマンド解釈部と、ソータのス
    タッカを制御するソータコントロール部と、前記ページ
    コピー命令によって前記ソータのスタッカを自動的に変
    化させる機能とを具備することを特徴とするページプリ
    ンタ。 ２、前記スタッカが３個である請求項１記載のページプ
    リンタ。
