Claims (1)

  1. 【実用新案登録請求の範囲】 原稿からの原稿像をミラー及びレンズを介して
    像担持体に結像する光学系を備え、この光学系の
    初期位置を調整する調整状態と前記光学系を用い
    る前記像担持体への画像形成状態とを夫々独立し
    て設定可能な画像形成装置において、 この画像形成装置が調整状態にあるとき、原稿
    から前記レンズまでの第１の光路長と、前記レン
    ズから前記像担持体までの第２の光路長との比率
    を変更するよう前記ミラー及び前記レンズの内少
    なくとも一方の位置を変え、前記光学系が像担持
    体に対し適正の状態で原稿像を結像する特定位置
    となるよう設定する設定手段と、 前記ミラー及び前記レンズが基準位置にあるこ
    とを検知する検知手段と、 前記画像形成装置が画像形成状態にあるとき、
    前記設定手段による設定状態に応じて、前記ミラ
    ー及び前記レンズの前記特定位置を画像形成時の
    初期位置とするよう前記ミラー及び前記レンズが
    前記検知手段にて検知される基準位置から前記特
    定位置まで移動するのに要する移動量を算出し、
    この移動量に応じた制御信号を出力する制御手段
    と、 この制御手段が出力する制御信号に従い、前記
    ミラー及び前記レンズを前記基準位置から前記特
    定位置まで移動せしめる移動手段と、 を具備することを特徴とする画像形成装置。
