Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、熱融着により合成樹脂成形品を接合
する方法、詳しくは、接合する合成樹脂成形品の
間に加熱体を介在させて圧接し、それらの接合面
を溶融して接合する場合に、一方の合成樹脂成形
品が溶融し難く、他方のそれが溶融し易いもので
あつても、両方の接合面の溶融状態を均一にして
接合するようにした合成樹脂成形品の接合方法に
関するものである。
合成樹脂成形品を接合する方法としては、接合
する合成樹脂成形品の間に加熱体を介在させ、そ
れらを同時に加熱溶融したのち、両者の溶融接合
面を融着接合する方法がある。しかしながらこの
方法は、一方の合成樹脂成形品が溶融し難く、他
方のそれは溶融し易い場合に、接合後接合部分の
外観が不良となつたり、また、完全に接合するこ
とができないという欠点があつた。例えば、一方
の合成樹脂成形品の接合面が肉厚で、他方がそれ
よりも肉薄である場合、或は、接合する合成樹脂
成形品が異なつた合成樹脂材からなり、それらの
溶融率に差がある場合に、上記方法のように同時
に加熱溶融すると、肉薄或は溶融率の高い方の合
成樹脂成形品の接合面が極度に溶けてしまい、逆
に、肉厚或は溶融率の低い方の合成樹脂成形品の
接合面は充分に溶融せず、従つて、両者を融着接
合した際に強固な接合が得られず、また、接合部
分の外観が不良となるという欠点があつた。
本発明は、溶融し易い一方の合成樹脂成形品と
加熱体との間に可撓性断熱シートを介在させて、
まず、溶融し難い他方の合成樹脂成形品の接合面
を加熱溶融し、次いで、上記可撓性断熱シートを
除去して溶融し易い合成樹脂成形品の接合面を加
熱溶融すると同時に、溶融し難い合成樹脂成形品
の接合面を更に加熱溶融して、両方の合成樹脂成
形品の接合面の溶融状態を均一にすることによつ
て、接合部分の外観が良好となり、しかも、完全
に接合することができるようにした熱融着により
合成樹脂成形品を接合する方法を提供するもので
ある。
次に、本発明の実施例を添付の図面において詳
述する。
図面は本発明の方法の一実施例を示し、第1図
は合成樹脂製管、加熱体、可撓性断熱シート及び
合成樹脂製サドルの説明図、第2図は合成樹脂製
管と合成樹脂製サドルとの間に加熱体と可撓性断
熱シートとを介在させ圧接状態の説明図、第3図
は合成樹脂製管と合成樹脂製サドルとの間に加熱
体を介在させ圧接状態の説明図、第4図は合成樹
脂製管と合成樹脂製サドルとの圧着状態の説明図
である。
本発明は、接合する合成樹脂成形品の間に加熱
体を介在させて圧接し、それらの接合面を溶融し
て接合する方法であつて、接合する合成樹脂成形
品の形状等は問わないが、以下断面正円状の合成
樹脂製管1に合成樹脂製サドル2を接合する場合
について説明する。合成樹脂製管1は、その接合
面11が合成樹脂製サドル2の接合面21よりも
肉厚で溶融し難い。また、合成樹脂製サドル2
は、分岐管を接続するためのもので、上記合成樹
脂製管1と同種の合成樹脂材からなるが、その接
合面21は合成樹脂製管1の接合面11よりも肉
薄で溶融し易いものである。このような合成樹脂
製管1に合成樹脂製サドル2を接合するにあたつ
て、第2図に示す如く、合成樹脂製管1の接合面
11に加熱体3下面を当接し、この加熱体3上面
と合成樹脂製サドル2の接合面21との間に可撓
性断熱シート4を介在させて圧接する。加熱体3
は、通電するとそれに圧接している合成樹脂を溶
融することができる機能を有している。また、可
撓性断熱シート4は耐熱性、離型性の良好なもの
で、例えば、テフロンシートやシリコンシートが
好適である。この可撓性断熱シート4を介在させ
てあると、加熱体3の熱が遮断されるので合成樹
脂製サドル2の接合面21が溶融しない。そし
て、上記加熱体3に通電し、まず、溶融し難い合
成樹脂製管1の接合面11を加熱溶融する。この
加熱溶融は、合成樹脂製管1の接合面11が接合
に好適な溶融状態になるまでの所要時間から合成
樹脂製サドル2の接合面21を好適に溶融し得る
所要時間を差引いた時間だけ行う。次いで、上記
可撓性断熱シート4を除去し、第3図に示す如
く、合成樹脂製サドル2の接合面21を加熱体3
上面に圧接して、該接合面21が融着接合に好適
な溶融状態となるまで加熱する。この接合面21
を溶融すると同時に、加熱体3下面と圧接した合
成樹脂製管1の接合面11を更に溶融する。そう
すると、合成樹脂製サドル2の接合面21も接合
に好適な溶融状態となる。しかる後、上記加熱体
3を除去し、第4図に示す如く、合成樹脂製管1
の溶融接合面11と合成樹脂製サドル2の溶融接
合面21とを圧着して、それらを接合するもので
ある。
なお、前記実施例では、接合面11が肉厚の合
成樹脂製管1に、該合成樹脂製管1と同種の合成
樹脂からなり、接合面21が肉厚の合成樹脂製サ
ドル2を接合する場合について述べたが、これに
限定されるものではない。本発明の方法は、溶融
率が異なる合成樹脂材で成形した合成樹脂成形品
を接合する場合は勿論、溶融率が異なり、かつ、
接合面の肉厚差がある合成樹脂成形品を接合する
場合等にも適用できるものである。
以上のように本発明の方法は、溶融し易い一方
の合成樹脂成形品と加熱体との間にシリコン等か
らなる可撓性断熱シートを介在させ、まず、溶融
し難い他方の合成樹脂成形品の接合面を加熱溶融
し、次いで、可撓性断熱シートを除去して溶融し
易い合成樹脂成形品の接合面を加熱溶融する。ま
た、それと同時に溶融し難い合成樹脂成形品の接
合面を更に加熱溶融するものであるから、溶融し
易い合成樹脂成形品と溶融し難い合成樹脂成形品
とを接合する場合、それら両方の接合面の溶融状
態が均一で、接合するに好適な状態に溶融するこ
とができる。従つて、一方の合成樹脂成形品の接
合面が極度に溶融されることから生ずる接合部分
の外観不良はなく、接合後の外観は良好となる。
また、溶融し難い合成樹脂成形品の接合面が溶融
不充分となることもなく、接合するに好適な状態
に溶融されるので、完全に接合することができる
ものである。

樹脂製管、加熱体、可撓性断熱シート及び合成樹
脂製サドルの説明図、第2図は合成樹脂製管と合
成樹脂製サドルとの間に加熱体と可撓性断熱シー
トとを介在させ圧接状態の説明図、第3図は合成
樹脂製管と合成樹脂製サドルとの間に加熱体を介
在させ圧接状態の説明図、第4図は合成樹脂製管
と合成樹脂製サドルとの圧着状態の説明図であ
る。 1は合成樹脂製管、2は合成樹脂製サドル、3
は加熱体、4は可撓性断熱シート、11は合成樹
脂製管の接合面、21は合成樹脂製サドルの接合
面を示す。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 接合する合成樹脂成形品の間に加熱体を介在
    させて圧接し、それらの接合面を溶融して接合す
    る方法であつて、溶融し易い一方の合成樹脂成形
    品と加熱体との間にシリコン等からなる可撓性断
    熱シートを介在させ、まず、溶融し難い他方の合
    成樹脂成形品の接合面を加熱溶融し、次いで、上
    記可撓性断熱シートを除去して溶融し易い合成樹
    脂成形品の接合面を加熱溶融すると同時に、上記
    溶融し難い合成樹脂成形品の接合面を更に加熱溶
    融し、しかる後、上記加熱体を除去してそれらの
    溶融接合面を圧着することを特徴とする熱融着に
    より合成樹脂成形品を接合する方法。
