【発明の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本発明は電子機器等に使用される
電子部品並びにその製造方法に関する。
【0002】
【従来の技術】従来より用いられている電子部品の構成
並びにその製造方法について、添付図面を参照して説明
する。図3,図4に図示のように、通常熱可塑性樹脂よ
りなる電子部品の断面コ字状カバー部材2と断面L字状
ベース14とを超音波振動溶接により溶着していた。こ
の際、樹脂材よりなるカバー部材2の脚部4を上方より
断面L字状ベース14の水平部16に押圧し、又カバー
部材2の脚部4の内側面6をベース14の垂直部17の
外周面18に押しつけながら、接合面を超音波溶着によ
り固定する方法が行われていた。尚図3に図示のように
、ベース14は基板20と一体に形成され、基板20に
は複数の端子22が配設してある。

【発明の解決すべき課題】ところが前述の従来例の溶着
においては、図4に図示のように超音波溶着時に、ベー
ス14の水平部16上面とカバー部材2の垂直脚部4の
端部とは溶着接合となるため、溶着の際に前記水平部1
4と脚部4との間に発生した樹脂のバリ24が、両部材
14と4の接触面より流出し、これがため電子部品の所
定の外形規格値を得ることができないと共にバリ取り作
業を行わねばならない等の問題点があった。

【課題を解決するための手段】本発明は前述の問題点を
解決することを目的とするもので、この問題を達成する
ための手段を以下開示する。断面L字状の熱可塑性樹脂
よりなるベース8に水平部10と傾斜部12とを形成し
、断面コ字状の熱可塑性樹脂よりなるカバー部材2の垂
直脚部4を前記ベース8に上方よりかぶせて、ベース8
とカバー部材2とを超音波溶着する際、前記カバー部材
2の垂直脚部4内側面6と前記ベース8の傾斜部10と
で形成した隙間Cへ、加熱により軟化した樹脂が収納さ
れて、外部へ流出するのを防止することを特徴とする電
子部品で、その製造方法は、断面L字状のベース8に水
平部10と傾斜部12とを形成する工程と、断面コ字状
のカバー部材12に垂直脚部4を形成する工程と、前記
ベース8の水平部10へ前記カバー部材2の垂直脚部4
を上方より押圧する工程と、前記ベース8の水平部10
とカバー部材2の垂直脚部4との接触部を超音波溶着に
より溶着する工程とよりなるものである。

【作用】断面コ字状のカバー部材2の垂直脚部4をベー
ス8へ上方よりかぶせて超音波溶着するとき、ベース2
の傾斜部12とカバー部材2の垂直脚部4とで形成する
隙間Cで軟化溶解した樹脂が保持されるので、外部へ流
出することはないから接着面よりバリが流れ出すのを防
止できる。

【実施例】以下添付図面を参照して本発明の実施例を説
明する。本発明に係る電子部品のベース8の構成が従来
例の構成部材と異なるだけで、他の部材は同一であるか
ら、その詳細な説明は省略する。本発明に係るベース8
は水平部10とこれに連続して設けた傾斜部12とより
なる。カバー部材2の垂直脚部4で、ベース8を上方よ
りおおったとき、カバー部材2の垂直脚部4の内側面6
とベース8の傾斜部12との間に間隙Cを形成する。従
ってカバー部材2をベース8にかぶせて上方より押圧し
つつ超音波溶着を実施する際、軟化溶解した樹脂24は
、図2に図示のようにベース8の傾斜部12とカバー部
材2の垂直脚部4の内側面6で形成する隙間C内のみで
硬化して、ベース8とカバー部材2の垂直脚部4とを固
着するので、軟化溶着した樹脂24はバリとなって外部
へ流出しない。従って超音波溶着に起因するバリ発生に
起因する不具合を防止する。

【効果】本発明において、ベースとカバー部材の溶着部
に、超音波溶着時に発生するバリの流出を防止するため
の隙間を設けてあるから、バリの外部への飛散流出によ
る不具合を除去できるし、又ベースとカバー部材の溶着
は、従来例では主としてカバー部材の脚部端とベースの
水平部とに限られていたが、本発明ではベースの傾斜部
とカバー部材の脚部の2ケ所で溶着できるから、部材間
の接合強度の向上や密閉性の改良を計ることができる。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】  断面L字状の熱可塑性樹脂よりなるベ
    ースに水平部と傾斜部とを形成し、断面コ字状の熱可塑
    性樹脂よりなるカバー部材の垂直脚部を前記ベースに上
    方よりかぶせてベースとカバー部材とを超音波溶着する
    際、前記カバー部材の脚部内側面と前記ベースの傾斜部
    とで形成した隙間へ加熱により硬化した樹脂が収納され
    て外部へ流出するのを防止することを特徴とする電子部
    品。
  2. 【請求項2】  断面コ字状の熱可塑性樹脂よりなるベ
    ースに水平部と傾斜部とを形成する工程と、断面コ字状
    の熱可塑性樹脂よりなるカバー部材に垂直脚部を形成す
    る工程と、前記ベースの水平部へ前記カバー部材の垂直
    脚部を上方より押圧する工程と、前記ベースの水平部と
    カバー部材垂直脚部との接触部を超音波溶着により溶着
    する工程とよりなる電子部品の製造方法。
