Description
Claims (27)
- 1.熱成形可能な表面フィルムであって、300°F(148℃)において約0 .5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/cm)を超えない引張強さを有する重 合体フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層に解放できるように接着された 分子配向していない重合体フィルムの流延により形成した装飾層を有することを 特徴とする熱成形可能な表面フィルム。
- 2.支持層が無定形ポリエステルから形成されたフィルムを有することを特徴と する請求の範囲1記載の表面フィルム。
- 3.支持層が約0.002〜約0.010インチ(約0.005〜約0.025 cm)の厚さを有する変性無定形ポリエチレンテレフタレートーエチレングリコ ールの平坦ダイから押し出されたフィルムから形成されたことを特徴とする請求 の範囲2記載の表面フィルム。
- 4.支持層が無定形ポリエチレンテレフタレート;無定形ポリブチレンテレフタ レート;およびポリオレフィンまたは共重合体あるいはこれらのポリマーブレン ドから成る群から選ばれた重合体から形成されたフィルムを有することを特徴と する請求の範囲1記載の表面フィルム。
- 5.支持層が約0.001〜約0.005インチ(約0.0025〜約0.01 27cm)の厚さを有する分子配向したポリプロピレン共重合体フィルムを有す ることを特徴とする請求の範囲4記載の表面フィルム。
- 6.上記支持層と反対表面の装飾層の表面が約40ダイン/cmの湿潤張力を有 することを特徴とす請求の範囲1記載の表面フィルム。
- 7.さらに、上記支持層に接着した表面と反対側の装飾層の過半の表面に塗布さ れた接着層を有することを特徴とする請求の範囲1記載の表面フィルム。
- 8.装飾層が液体流延、分子配向していないフルオロポリマーを有することを特 徴とする請求の範囲1記載の表面フィルム。
- 9.熱成形可能な表面フィルムであって、250°F(121℃)において、幅 1インチあたり約30ポンド(535g/cm)より小さい負荷の下で5%の伸 び率を有する重合体フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層に解放できるよ うに接着した分子配向していない重合体フィルムから形成された装飾層を有する ことを特徴とする熱成形可能な表面フィルム。
- 10.熱成形可能な支持層が250°F(121℃)での幅1インチあたり約1 .5ポンド(267g/cm)より低い負荷において5%の伸び率および200 °F(93℃)における500psi(35.15kg/cm2)の負荷下に置 いた際に100%の伸び率を有する重合体フィルムから形成されたことを特徴と する請求の範囲9記載の表面フィルム。
- 11.熱成形可能な表面フィルムであって、200°F(93℃)で500ps i(35.15kg/cm2)の負荷下に置いた際に50%より大きい伸び率を 有する重合体フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層に解放できるように接 着した分子配向していない重合体フィルムから形成された装飾層を有することを 特徴とする熱成形可能な表面フイルム。
- 12.熱成形可能な表面フィルムであって、300°F(148℃)において少 なくとも約0.5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/cm)の引張強さを有す る重合体フィルムから形成された非熱成形可能な流延用ベースを有し、上記流延 用ベースが分子配向していない重合体の流延により形成された装飾層に解放でき るように接着されており、上記装飾層が300°F(148℃)において約0. 5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/cm)より低い引張強さを有する重合体 フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層に解放できるように接着されている ことを特徴とする熱成形可能な表面フィルム。
- 13.流延用ベースが分子配向したポリエステルフィルムから形成されており; 装飾層が分子配向していないフルオロポリマーの流延により形成されており;熱 成形可能な支持層が無定形ポリエステルから形成されていることを特徴とする請 求の範囲12記載の熱成形可能な表面フィルム。
- 14.流延用ベースが二軸配向したヒートセットのポリエステルフィルムから形 成されており;装飾層が分子配向していないフルオロポリマーの流延により形成 されており;熱成形可能な支持層が分子配向したポリオレフィンから形成されて いることを特徴とする請求の範囲12記載の熱成形可能な表面フイルム。
- 15.熱成形可能な表面フィルムであって、装飾層並びに無定形ポリエチレンテ レフタレート;変性無定形ポリエチレンテレフタレートーエチレングリコール; ポリエステルまたはポリオレフィンの共重合体;およびポリプロピレン共重合体 から成る群から選ばれた重合体のフィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層を 有することを特徴とする熱成形可能な表面フィルム。
- 16.熱成形可能な表面フィルムであって、幅1インチあたり約3.0ポンド( 535g/cm)より低い負荷下で5%の伸び率を有する重合体フィルムから形 成された透明またはわずかに色を帯びた熱成形可能な支持層に解放できるように 接着した分子配向していない重合体フィルムから形成された装飾層を有すること を特徴とする熱成形可能な表面フィルム。
- 17.基材; 分子配向していないフルオロポリマーの流延により形成された装飾層;および 300°F(148℃)において約0.5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/ cm)より低い引張強さを有する重合体フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支 持層を有する物品において、 上記支持層が上記装飾層に解放できるように接着されており、上記装飾層が上記 基材に不可逆的に接着されていることを特徴とする物品。
- 18.上記装飾層が分子配向していないフルオロポリマーから形成されており; 上記熱成形可能な支持層が分子配向していないポリエステルまたは分子配向した ポリオレフィンから選ばれた重合体から形成されていることを特徴とする請求の 範囲17記載の物品。
- 19.さらに、上記基材と上記装飾層との間に介在する中間接着層を有すること を特徴とする請求の範囲17または18記載の物品。
- 20.中間接着層が熱反応性アクリル接着剤、感圧性アクリル接着剤およびウレ タン接着剤から成る群から選ばれたことを特徴とする請求の範囲17または18 記載の物品。
- 21.中間接着層がポリエステル、ポリエステルの共重合体、ポリオレフィン、 ポリオレフィンの共重合体、ABS樹脂、PVC、ポリカーボネートおよびポリ カーボネート共重合体から成る群から選ばれたラミネートフィルムであることを 特徴とする請求の範囲17または18記載の物品。
- 22.表面フィルムを製造するにあたり:分子配向していないフルオロポリマー フィルムから形成された装飾層を、300°F(148℃)において少なくとも 約0.5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/cm)の引張強さを有するフィル ムから形成された適切な流延用ベース上に液体流延し、300°F(148℃) において約0.5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/cm)より低い引張強さ を有する重合体フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層を、流延したフルオ ロポリマー層の過半の表面に解放できるように接着することを特徴とする表面フ ィルムの製造方法。
- 23.装飾層を有する二次成形された物品を製造するにあたり:300°F(1 48℃)において0.5ポンド/直線インチ(89.29g/cm)より低い引 張強さを有する重合体フィルムから形成された熱成形可能な支持層を、分子配向 していないフルオロポリマーフィルムから形成された装飾層の一方の過半の表面 に解放できるように接着し;支持層に接着した側と反対側の装飾層の側を基材に 不可逆的に接着し;物品を二次成形することを特徴とする装飾層を有する二次成 形された物品の製造方法。
- 24.さらに、第1に、分子配向していないフルオロポリマーフィルムから形成 された装飾層を、300°F(148℃)で少なくとも約0.5ポンド/直線イ ンチ(89.29g/cm)の引張強さを有する適切な流延用ベース上に流延す ることを特徴とする請求の範囲23記載の方法。
- 25.熱成形可能な支持層が無定形ポリエステルフィルムまたはポリオレフィン フィルムのいずれかから形成されることを特徴とする請求の範囲22または23 記載の方法。
- 26.さらに、表面フィルムを基材上に塗布する前に、支持層と接着した表面と 反対側の装飾層の表面をコロナ処理することを特徴とする請求の範囲22〜25 のいずれか1つの項記載の方法。
- 27.表面フィルムを製造するにあたり、分子配向していないフルオロポリマー から形成された液体流延装飾層を二軸配向したヒートセットのポリエステルから 形成された流延用ベース上に流延し、装飾層を可撓性、伸長性の熱成形可能な支 持層にトランスファーすることを特徴とする表面フィルムの製造方法。
