Description
摩耗特性に優れた複合摺動部材に関するものである。
は、金属金網又はエキスパンドメタルを基体とし該基体
の空孔部及び表面に、テトラフルオロエチレン樹脂(以
下PTFEと言う。)に黒鉛、二硫化モリブデン、ガラ
ス繊維、熱硬化性樹脂などの充填材を添加して得られた
合成樹脂組成物である摺動部材用組成物を含浸被覆した
ものが使用されており、これらの部材は耐摩耗性、低摩
擦係数を得ることを目的とするものであった。
キスパンドメタルに摺動部材用組成物を含浸被着したも
のは、それなりの低摩擦係数、低摩耗量を達成してい
る。しかし、近年の過酷な使用状況を考慮してみると、
摺動特性、特に摩耗特性を必ずしも満足しているとは言
えなかった。また、多種多様な形状の軸受を絞り加工な
どで得ることは困難であった。これは、非粘着性である
PTFE樹脂と該基体との密着性が悪く、加工時にPT
FE樹脂と該基体との間に亀裂または剥がれなどが生
じ、機械的強度が著しく低下するためであった。また、
PTFE樹脂と該充填材との密着性も悪く、充填材の脱
落がおこることも摺動特性を低下させる原因となってい
た。本発明は、上記問題点を解決し、優れた絞り加工性

供することを目的とする。

動部材を提供する。すなわち、本発明は、金属金網又は
エキスパンドメタルを基体とし、該基体の空孔部及び表
面に、テトラフルオロエチレン樹脂の30〜99.8容
量%と、テトラフルオロエチレン−パーフルオロアルキ
ルビニル共重合樹脂(以下PFAと言う。)、テトラフ
ルオロエチレン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレン共重合樹脂
(以下FEPと言う。)及びフルオロエチレンプロピレ
ンエーテル樹脂(以下EPEと言う。)よりなるA群か
ら選ばれた少なくとも1種の樹脂の0.1〜50容量%
とから形成される相溶したポリマーアロイ並びにオキシ
ベンゾイルポリエステル、ポリフェニレンサルファイ
ド、熱硬化性樹脂、金属潤滑剤、金属酸化物、複合金属
酸化物、金属硫化物、金属フッ化物、炭素系固体潤滑
剤、繊維材料及びセラミックからなるB群から選ばれた
少なくとも1種の0.1〜50容量%からなる潤滑組成
分が含浸被覆されていることを特徴とする複合摺動部材
である。
青銅合金、アルミ合金、ステンレス合金等からなり、線
径0.05〜2mmの細線を10〜200メッシュに編
んで得られたものである。また、エキスパンドメタルと
は、リン青銅合金、アルミ合金、ステンレス合金等から
なり、薄板0.05〜2mmにエキスパンド加工を施
し、各辺0.1〜3mm、厚さ0.1〜4mmに成形さ
れたものである。
P、EPEからなるA群のもの1種以上とPTFEを組
合せた種々の場合、すなわち、PTFE−PFA、PT
FE−EPE、PTFE−FEP、PTFE−PFA−
EPE、PTFE−PFA−FEP、PTFE−EPE
−FEP、PTFE−PFA−EPE−FEPの組合せ
配合したものがすべて使用できる。これらは焼成段階で
相溶して、元のPFA、FEP、EPE、またはPTF
E及びその単なる混合物とは全く異なる別の特性を有す
る単一物質となる。このように、非粘着性であるPTF
E樹脂にPFA、FEP、EPEよりなるA群から選ば
れた少なくとも1種の樹脂を相溶し単一物質とすること
により、該基体との密着性が著しく向上し、絞り加工時
における亀裂及び剥がれ等を防止する。更に、該充填材
との密着性も向上し、充填材の脱落を防止することによ
り、該充填材の耐摩耗性の効果を助長するものである。
本発明の組成物は単純なポリマーブレンドではないので
ある。すなわち、PTFE、PFA、FEP、EPEの
各組合せ配合物は、焼成前はPTFE、PFA、FE
P、EPEの各々の溶融点(m.p)を示す。しかし、
一度焼成した後に光学的顕微鏡及び示差走査熱量計(D
SC)による分析で調べてみると、前記各組合せ配合物
は相溶した一つの組織となり、組合せ配合物の各成分の
境界が存在しないことでわかる。なお、上記A群の成分
をPFA、FEP、及びEPEと特定したのは、他のフ
ッ素樹脂例えばETFE、PVDF、PCTFE等又は
それらを含めて摺動部材を形成する場合に製造工程の焼
成段階において分解、亀裂、フクレ等の著しい変形を生
じたり、又機械的強度が著しく低下することを見出した
からである。このA群の成分の使用量は全体の0.1〜
50容量%、好ましくは2〜30容量%であるが、この
限定理由は0.1容量%未満の場合には目的とする低摩
擦性、耐摩耗性が著しく低下し、また50容量%を越え
ると耐摩耗性が向上するが摩擦係数と摩擦温度が上昇し
て摺動特性を低下させるからである。
ルポリエステル、ポリフェニレンサルファイド、熱硬化
性樹脂、金属潤滑剤、金属酸化物、複合金属酸化物、金
属硫化物、金属フッ化物、炭素系固体潤滑剤、繊維材料
及びセラミックの少なくとも1種またはそれらの2種以
上の組合せが選ばれ、その使用量は全体の0.1〜50
容量%、好ましくは2〜30容量%である。この量が
0.1容量%未満の場合は、耐摩耗性に関し組成物を添
加した効果が生ぜず添加する意味がない。また50容量
%をこえると耐摩耗性が向上するが、摩擦係数と摩擦温
度が上昇して摺動特性を低下させることになる。なお、
上記熱硬化性樹脂とはポリイミド、ポリアミドイミド、
シリコーン樹脂、フェノール樹脂等からなり焼成段階に
おいて分解、亀裂、フクレ等の著しい変形を生じない樹
脂を示す。又金属潤滑剤とは、Pb、Sn、Cu、Z
n、Bi、Cd、In、Li及び/またはその合金を示
し、金属酸化物とはZn、Al、Sb、Y、In、Z
r、Mo、Cd、Ca、Ag、Cr、Co、Ti、S
i、Mn、Sn、Ce、W、Bi、Ta、Fe、Cu、
Pb、Ni、Te、Nb、Pt、V、Pd、Mg、Li
の各酸化物を示し、複合金属酸化物とは、CoO−Al
2 O3 、TiO2 −ZnO 2 、PbO−TiO2 、Co
O−SnO2 、MgO−Al2 O3 、ZrO2 −SiO
2 、CoO−Al2 O3 −MgO、CoO−Al2 O3
−Cr2 O3 、CoO−ZnO−MgO、Pb3 O4 −
Sb2 O3 −TiO2 、Cr2 O3 −Sb2 O3 −Ti
O2 、Cr2 O3 −CuO−MnO2 、CoO−Cr2
O3 −Fe2 O3 、CoO−ZnO2 −NiO2 −Ti
O2 、CoO−Cr2 O3 −MnO2 −Fe2 O3 等で
あり、金属硫化物とは、MoS2 、WS2 等を示し、金
属フッ化物とは、PbF2 、AlF3 、CdF2 、Ba
F2 、CaF2 等を示し、また炭素系固体潤滑剤には、
フッ化黒鉛、グラファイト、コークス、ピッチ、ター
ル、カーボン及び熱処理されたフェノール樹脂等があ
る。繊維材料とはカーボンファイバー、木綿(セルロー
ス)、アスベスト、ロックウール、チタン酸カリウム繊
維、芳香族ポリアミド繊維等の天然繊維および人工繊維
を示し、セラミックスとはSiC、TiC、TiC、B
4 C、BN、Si3 N4 、AlN、HfN、TaN、W
C、TaC、VC、ZrC等を示す。
シュに編んで図3に平面図、図4に断面図を示す基体と
なる金網を形成した。次いで、金網をロール間に通し、
金網の空孔部および表面を表1に示した組成物を含浸被
覆させ、380℃の温度で3分間焼成した。更に、ロー
ルを通して0.5mmの厚さに均一にし、従来品(N
o.1,2)および図6に示す本発明品(No.6〜
9)を得た。このものの摩擦摩耗試験結果と破断試験結
果を表1に示し、その試験条件を表3および表4に示
す。

図を示す基体となる金網を形成した。以下、(1)と同
じようにして従来品(No.5)および図6に示す本発
明品(No.14〜16)を得た。このものの摩擦摩耗
試験結果と破断試験結果を表1に示し、その試験条件を
表3および表4に示した。
エキスパンド加工し、一辺0.8mmの菱形の網目を備
えた厚さ0.4mmの図1に平面図、図2に断面図を示
す基体となるエキスパンドメタルを形成した。次いで、
エキスパンドメタルをロール間に通し、エキスパンドメ
タルの空孔部および表面を表1に示した組成物で充填お
よび含浸被覆させ、380℃の温度で3分間焼成した。
更に、ロールを通して0.5mmの厚さに均一にし、従
来品(17,18)および図5に示す本発明品(No.
22〜25)を得た。このものの摩擦摩耗試験結果と破
断試験結果を表2に示し、その試験条件を表3および表
4に示した。
キスパンド加工し、一辺0.8mmの菱形の網目を備え
た厚さ0.4mmの図1に平面図、図2に断面図を示す
基体となるエキスパンドメタルを形成した。以下、
(1)と同じようにして従来品(No. 19,20)およ
び図5に示す本発明品(No. 26〜29)を得た。この
ものの摩擦摩耗試験結果と破断試験結果を表2に示し、
その試験条件を表3および表4に示す。

示す基体となるエキスパンドメタルを形成した。以下、
(1)と同じようにして従来品(No.21)および図
5に示す本発明品(No.30〜32)を得た。このも
のの摩擦摩耗試験結果と破断試験結果を表2に示し、そ
の試験条件を表3および表4に示す。銅メッキを施した
一般構造用低炭素鋼上に銅系粉末を多孔質に焼結し、し
かる後、ロール間に通して前記多孔質銅系層の孔隙とそ
の表面に表2に示した組成物を含浸および被覆させ、次
いで327〜400℃の温度で2〜5分間焼成し、さら
にロールを通過させて厚みを均一にして従来品(試料N
o.33)を得た。このものの摩擦摩耗試験結果と破断
試験結果を表2に示し、その試験条件を表3および表4
に示す。
来品(試料No.1〜5,17〜21,33)及び本発
明品(試料No.6〜16,22〜32)を比較してみ
ると、本発明品は耐摩耗性及び摩擦係数について次のと
おり改善されている。まず耐摩耗性であるが本発明品の
摩耗量は、従来品に比べ低摩耗量となっている。これ
は、フッ素樹脂成分が相溶することにより、単一物質と
なり、該充填材との密着性が向上し、該充填材の脱落防
止を行い、該充填材による耐摩耗性を助長していること
による。次に摩擦係数であるが、表1および表2からも
わかる様に従来品では0.11〜0.34程度の摩擦係
数である。しかし0.11〜0.18程度の低摩擦係数
を有するものであっても、No.1,2,3,17,1
8,19,21に示されるように摩耗量が多く耐摩耗性
に関して充分満足しているとは言えない。これに対し本
発明品の摩擦係数は、0.09〜0.17程度の摩擦係
数であり、従来品同様に低摩擦係数を有し、しかも摩耗
量も少なく耐摩耗性についても充分満足している。ま
た、加工性については、基体として金属金網又はエキス
パンドメタルを使用し、これに上記した樹脂組成物を含
浸被覆した本発明品は、表1及び2からもわかる様に、
従来品と比較すると、エリクセン値がかなり高く、亀裂
および剥がれ等が起こりにくいのがわかる。これは、P
TFE樹脂にPFA、FEP、EPEよりなるA群から
選ばれた少なくとも1種の樹脂を相溶させることによ
り、フッ素樹脂成分と該基体との密着性が向上し、亀裂
および剥がれ等を防止し、機械強度低下の防止に寄与す
るからである。これらからもわかるように、従来品に比
べ本発明品の方がより優れた絞り加工性を有し、多種多
様な形状の摺動部材を提供できるとともに、薄材として
も使用でき摺動部材としてのスペースが少なくてすむ。

Claims (1)
- 【請求項1】 金属金網又はエキスパンドメタルを基体
とし、該基体の空孔部及び表面に、テトラフルオロエチ
レン樹脂の30〜99.8容量%と、テトラフルオロエ
チレン−パーフルオロアルキルビニルエーテル共重合樹
脂、テトラフルオロエチレン−ヘキサフルオロプロピレ
ン共重合樹脂及びフルオロエチレンプロピレンエーテル
樹脂よりなるA群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の樹脂の
0.1〜50容量%とから形成される相溶したポリマー
アロイ並びにオキシベンゾイルポリエステル、ポリフェ
ニレンサルファイド、熱硬化性樹脂、金属潤滑剤、金属
酸化物、複合金属酸化物、金属硫化物、金属フッ化物、
炭素系固体潤滑剤、繊維材料及びセラミックからなるB
群から選ばれた少なくとも1種の0.1〜50容量%か
らなる潤滑組成分が含浸被覆されていることを特徴とす
る複合摺動部材。
