Description
Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.保護機能を有すると共に少なくとも部分的な断熱性を有し、優れた外観を有 するバッテリーカバーにおいて、 (A)自立に充分な剛性を具える少なくとも頂壁及び側壁を有する成形 された硬質のプラスチック支持体と; (B)少なくとも1つの壁の少なくとも一部に設けた断熱材と; (C)断熱材を収容するプラスチック材の外被容器と; (D)少なくとも1つの壁の少なくとも一部に外被容器を取り付けるた めの取り付け手段 から成ることを特徴とする前記バッテリーカバー。 2.湿電池バッテリーを受容するように支持体を形成したことを特徴とする請求 項1に記載のカバー。 3.湿電池バッテリーが鉛/酸バッテリーであることを特徴とする請求項2に記 載のカバー。 4.バッテリーが自動車用バッテリーであることを特徴とする請求項2に記載の カバー。 5.プラスチック支持体を射出成形したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカバ ー。 6.支持体が頂壁及び4つの側壁を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカ バー。 7.支持体の断面が矩形であることを特徴とする請求項6に記載のカバー。 8.硬質プラスチックが耐熱プラスチックであることを特徴とする請求項1に記 載のカバー。 9.硬質プラスチックがポリオレフィン、ナイロン、アクリレート、ポリアミド 、ポリエステル、ABS、ポリカーボネート、フェノール、ポリ塩化ビニル、ポ リスチレン及びポリアクリロニトリルの1つまたは2つ以上であることを特徴と する請求項8に記載のカバー。 10.支持体及び外被容器の少なくとも1つの軸方向寸法がバッテリーの対応軸 方向寸法よりやや小さく、取り付けられている外被容器と共に支持体をバッテリ ーに沿って摺動させると、支持体の少なくとも1つの側壁が外方へ撓んでバッテ リーを受容し、バッテリーと支持体とを摩擦嵌合させるように支持体及び外被容 器を形成したことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカバー。 11.側壁の少なくとも1つが外方へ撓むのに充分な弾性を具えることを特徴と する請求項10に記載のカバー。 12.断熱材がプラスチック、セラミック、ガラス、天然鉱物、セルロース及び アスベストのいずれか1つまたは2つ以上であることを特徴とする請求項1に記 載のカバー。 13.断熱材が微粒状であることを特徴とする請求項12に記載のカバー。 14.微粒状が繊維状であることを特徴とする請求項13に記載のカバー。 15.外被容器のプラスチック材が支持体の硬質プラスチックと同じかまたは同 じでないことを特徴とする請求項1に記載のカバー。 16.プラスチック材がポリオレフィン、ナイロン、アクリレート、ポリアミド 、ポリエステル、ABS、ポリカーボネート、ポリ塩化ビニル及びポリスチレン のいずれか1つまたは2つ以上であることを特徴とする請求項15に記載のカバ ー。 17.取り付け手段が機械的取り付け手段であることを特徴とする請求項1に記 載のカバー。 18.取り付け手段が接着剤または溶着であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載 のカバー。 19.機械的取り付け手段が外被容器の取り外しを可能にすることを特徴とする 請求項17に記載のカバー。 20.接着剤または溶着が外被容器を壁に恒久的に取り付けることを特徴とする 請求項18に記載のカバー。 21.外被容器が頂壁を持たず、断熱材をカバーと外被容器底壁の間に設けたこ とを特徴とする請求項20に記載のカバー。 22.少なくとも1つの壁が補強部分を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載 のカバー。 23.壁厚が約1/32ないし1/4インチであることを特徴とする請求項1に 記載のカバー。 24.断熱材の厚さが約1/8ないし1インチであることを特徴とする請求項1 に記載のカバー。
