Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.排ガス出口を有するガソリンエンジン、及び 酸素貯蔵成分を実質的に有さない近位連結触媒組成物を含んでなる、 排ガス出口に通じる近位連結触媒、 を含んでなり、但し該触媒組成物が、 担体、 パラジウム成分、 随時酸化ストロンチウム、酸化カルシウム及び酸化バリウムからなる群から選 択される少なくとも1つのアルカリ金属酸化物、 随時白金、ロジウム、ルテニウム及びイリジウム成分からなる群から選択され る少なくとも1つの白金族金属、及び 随時、酸化ネオジム及び酸化ランタンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1 つの希土類酸化物、 随時第2の酸化ジルコニウム、 を含んでなる、製品。 2.酸化ネオジム及び酸化ランタンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つ の希土類酸化物を更に含んでなる、請求の範囲1の製品。 3.酸化ネオジム及び酸化ランタンを更に含んでなる、請求の範囲1の製品。 4.第2の酸化ジルコニウムを更に含んでなる、請求の範囲1の製品。 5.担体がシリカ、アルミナ、チタニア及び第1のジルコニア化合物からなる 群から選択される少なくとも1つの化合物を含んでなる、請求の範囲1の製品。 6.担体がアルミナ、シリカ、第二のジルコニア及びシリカ−アルミ ナ、アルミナ−シリケ−ト、アルミナ−ジルコニア、アルミナ−クロミア、及び アルミナ−セリアからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの活性化合物を含ん でなる、請求の範囲5の製品。 7.担体が活性アルミナを含んでなる、請求の範囲6の層状触媒複合物。 8.アルカリ金属酸化物が酸化ストロンチウムである、請求の範囲1の製品。 9.近位連結触媒が近位連結触媒組成物を支持する近位連結触媒支持体を更に 含んでなる、請求の範囲1の製品。 10.支持体がハニカム支持体である、請求の範囲9の製品。 11.活性アルミナ担体約0.50〜約3.5g/in3、 パラジウム成分少なくとも約50.0g/ft3、及び 少なくとも1つのアルカリ土類金属成分約0.05〜約0.5g/in3、 が存在する、請求の範囲10の製品。 12.ストロンチウム約0.05〜約0.4g/in3、 第2の酸化ジルコニウム約0.0〜約0.5g/in3、及び 酸化ランタン及び酸化ネオジムからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つの希 土類金属酸化物約0.0〜約0.5g/in3、 が存在する、請求の範囲11の製品。 13.ロジウム成分が約20.0g/ft3まで存在する、請求の範囲11の 製品。 14.白金成分が約60.0g/ft3まで存在する、請求の範囲11の製品 。 15.パラジウム成分が約75〜約300g/ft3で存在する、請求の範囲 11の製品。 16.パラジウム成分が約75〜約300g/ft3、 活性アルミナ担体約0.75〜約2.0g/in3、 ストロンチウム約0.05〜約0.4g/in3、 酸化バリウム約0.05〜約0.2g/in3、 酸化ランタン約0.025〜約0.3g/in3、 酸化ネオジム約0.025〜約0.3g/in3、及び 第2の酸化ジルコニウム約0.05〜約0.5g/in3、 が存在する請求の範囲10の製品。 17.近位連結触媒の下流で、これに通じるスリ−ウエイ触媒を更に含んでな る、請求の範囲1の製品。 18.近位連結触媒の下流に位置し且つこれに通じる下流触媒を更に含んでな り、但し下流触媒が酸素貯蔵成分を含んでなる、請求の範囲1の製品。 19.排ガス出口を有するガソリンエンジン、 セリウム成分及びプラセオジム成分からなる群から選択される酸素貯蔵成分を 実質的に有さない近位連結触媒組成物を含んでなる、排ガス出口に通じる近位連 結触媒、 を含んでなり、但し該触媒組成物が、 担体、 パラジウム成分、 随時酸化ストロンチウム、酸化カルシウム及び酸化バリウムからなる群から選 択される少なくとも1つのアルカリ金属酸化物、 随時白金、ロジウム、ルテニウム及びイリジウム成分からなる群から選択され る少なくとも1つの白金族金属、 随時酸化ネオジム及び酸化ランタンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つ の希土類酸化物、及び 随時第2の酸化ジルコニウム、並びに セリウム成分及びプラセオジム成分からなる群から選択される酸素貯蔵成分を 含んでなる、近位連結触媒の下流に位置し且つこれに通じる下流触媒、 を含んでなる、製品。 20.排ガス出口を有するガソリンエンジンを運転し、 一酸化炭素及び炭化水素、随時窒素酸化物を含んでなる排ガス流を、ガソリン エンジンの排ガス出口から近位連結触媒組成物を含んでなる近位連結触媒へ通し 、 排ガスを、酸素貯蔵成分を実質的に有さない近位連結触媒組成物と接触させ、 但し該触媒組成物が、 支持体、 パラジウム成分、 随時酸化ストロンチウム、酸化カルシウム及び酸化バリウムからなる群から選 択される少なくとも1つのアルカリ金属酸化物、 随時白金、ロジウム、ルテニウム及びイリジウム成分からなる群から選択され る少なくとも1つの白金族金属、 随時酸化ネオジム及び酸化ランタンからなる群から選択される少なくとも1つ の希土類酸化物、及び 随時第2の酸化ジルコニウム、 を含んでなり、そして 炭化水素の少なくともいくらか及び一酸化炭素の一部分だけを、近位連結触媒 の存在下に酸化する、 工程を含んでなる方法。 21.近位連結触媒における酸素が実質的に排ガス流から及びパラジウム成分 から供給される酸素から直接与えられる、請求の範囲20の方法。 22.排ガスを近位連結触媒から下流触媒へ通す工程を更に含んでなる、請求 項21の方法。 23.近位連結触媒から下流触媒への排ガス流が一酸化炭素を含んでなる、請 求の範囲22の方法。 24.近位連結触媒から下流触媒への排ガス流が、FTP1975に従って測 定したとき、近位連結触媒へ通過する一酸化炭素の少なくとも10%を含んでな る、請求の範囲22の方法。 25.一酸化炭素の少なくとも25%が近位連結触媒から通過する、請求の範 囲24の方法。 26.一酸化炭素の少なくとも30%が近位連結触媒から通過する、請求の範 囲25の方法。 27.一酸化炭素の少なくとも40%が近位連結触媒から通過する、請求の範 囲26の方法。
