Abstract
PURPOSE: To obtain the humidity sensitive element in low cost without lowering reliability, by coating the surfaces of electrodes formed by Pd-Ag alloy group with ohmic resistant material belonging to a RuO3 groupe in low cost and resin with moistureproof properties.
CONSTITUTION: The humidity sensitive element is manufactured in such a manner that electrodes 4, 4' are made up by printing and burning a material, whose principal ingredients are Pd-Ag, on an insulating substrate 1, films 5, 5' are built up by printing and burning materials, which principal ingredient is RuO3, on the insulating substrate 1 and the electrodes 5, 5', a humidity sensor film 3 is printed and burnt, and on the insulating substrate 1 between the films 5, 5', external leads 6, 6' and the electrodes 4, 4' are connected by means of solder 8, 8', and resin 7, 7' is applied among the films 5, 5' and the external leads 6, 6' and hardened.
