Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent statio electricity from being generated and obtain a high quality cathode-ray tube which enables stable operation by injecting ionized purified gas in a bulb and removing particles and foreign matters. CONSTITUTION:Immediately before an electron gun is inserted, the bulb 21 for a cathode-ray tube is retained on the support bench 22 with the fluorescent screen facing its upper surface and the top injection hole 24 of the gas induction tube 23 is inserted in the bulb 21. For example, this induction tube is connected to the pure inert gas or air generator 26 through the gas ionized device 25 which produces corona discharge in gas. This ionized inert gas or air is injected and discharged in the bulb and removes the particles and foreign matters adhering in the bulb and the constituents which are easy to release. This prevents static electricity from being generated and excellently removes the particles and foreign matters. As a result, a cathode-ray tube which enables stable operation can be obtained.
