Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は記録再生円盤に関し、その目的は、ディスク信
号面に硬化膜を設は表面を保護し、誤再生を防止するこ
とにある。
一般にビデオディスク(VD)やコンパクトディスク(
CD )などのディジタル記録再生装置においては、光
学1式方法や静電容量の溝付きおよび溝なし方式などか
あ−リ、光学式のVDやCDなどの記録再生円盤(ディ
スク)の条件としては、機械的な強度が大きく、耐熱性
や耐湿性などの経時変化が少なく優れていることの他に
、ディスク表面がキズ付きにくいなどが必要である。
光学式記録再生装置であるCDの概略図を第1図に示す
。1はプレーヤ本体で、2はディスク13はディスクの
裏面にある光学式のピックアップ装置を示す。
第2図に従来のディスクの構造図を示す。
4は透明ディスク基盤、5は金属反射膜、6は信号のピ
ット、7は樹脂製裏面保護膜、8はレーザ光、9は表面
部である。
レーデ光よシ照射された光は、ディジタル化された信号
のピット6よシ再生され、D−A変換され音として再生
される。
ディスク基盤4はアクリル(PMMA )やポリカーブ
ネート(pc )などの樹脂で、インジェクション方式
で作られ金属反射膜5上には樹脂の保護膜が設けられる
ため軟らかく、キズ付き易いという欠点がある。
本発明はこれらの欠点を補うものであり、ディスク信号
面を硬化し、キズが付きにくく又、誤再生を防止するも
のである。以下に図を用いて説明する。
第3図は本発明のディスクを示す。
5はディジタル信号面の金属反射膜で、10はその金属
の酸化物または窒化物よシなる保護膜を示すO 次に実施例を示す。
金属反射膜5にAtを使用すれば、保護膜10は酸化ア
ルミニウム(At203)であり、連続的な膜の生成が
可能である。例えば、Atをスパッタリングにて形成す
る。その後、酸素(02)ガスを導入すれば酸化アルミ
ニウム(At203)が形成され、連続的にスパッタリ
ングが可能である。また、酸素02の代シに窒素(N2
)ガスを導入すれば窒化アルミニウム(AtN )が連
続的に形成される。
これらAt203やAtNは高硬度の材質であるため、
At反射膜の保護膜として適している。
スパッタリングを例に示したが、真空蒸着やイオンシレ
ーティングや電子ビーム蒸着法などの物理蒸着法や化学
蒸着法ならば可能である。
このように、ディジタル信号のディスク表面に金属反射
膜を設け、その表面に同じ金属の酸化物や窒化物などの
化合物層を設は保護膜とすれば、連続形成が可能なため
設備的に簡単なため安価で、しかも高硬度保護膜が容易
に形成され、信頼性、再現性の優れた安定した保護膜を
得ることができるため、工業上有益である。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. ディジタル信号の表面に金属反射膜を設け、その表面に
    該金属の酸化物案窒化物などの化合物層を設けることに
    より、金属反射膜を保護することを特徴とするディジタ
    ル信号記録、再生ディスク。
