Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔発明の利用分野〕 本発明は磁気ディスク装置用磁気ヘッドアセンブリに係
り、特に磁気ディスクの回転による空気流れによるヘッ
ドサポートの揺れを小さくするための磁気ヘッド支持機
構に関する。
〔発明の背景〕
従来の磁気ヘッドアセンブリは第１図ａ、ｂに示すごと
く、浮動スライダ１を保持する可撓性の、いわゆるジン
バルばね２と該ジンバルばね２を支持する弾性部４およ
び荷重用はり部３とを兼用した部材、いわゆるヘッドサ
ポートよりなり、該はり部３は金属、たとえばステンレ
スの薄体の両側を折り曲げることにより剛性を増すこと
を図っているが、該はり部３の中央部は薄板構造のまま
であり、この部分においてたわみ易い。そのため磁気デ
ィスク１１の回転による空気流れのために、該薄板部３
が変形し、ヘッドサポート全体が揺れる欠点があった。
〔発明の目的〕
本発明の目的は、上記したはり部の低剛性に起因するヘ
ッドサポートの揺れを回避し、動的にも安定なヘッド支
持系を提供することにある。
（発明の概要〕 上記した如く、ディスクの回転による空気流れによるヘ
ッドサポートの揺れは、上記荷重用はり部の剛性を高く
することによって避ける、もしくは軽減することが可能
であることが分った。
（発明の実施例〕 以下、本発明の一実施例を説明する。第２図に示す如く
、第１図のヘッドサポートの荷重用はり部３に相当する
部分に、へこみおよびふくらみを合せもった波状の断面
形状をもつ荷重用はりを用いて、従来のヘッドサポート
と、動的安定性、すなわち、前記したディスク回転によ
る空気流れによるヘッドサポート揺れを比較して調べた
。従来型のものでは低回転で揺れが発生し、かつ揺れの
振動数が低く、情報の記録再生に大きな影響を及ぼすが
、本発明によると、上記ヘッドサポートの揺れは殆んど
ない。これは第３図に示す断面形状からもわかる様に、
上記空気流れに対する抵抗が、従来型のものより小さい
ことも寄与しているが、本来の目的とする上記はり部３
′の剛性が高いことの寄与が大きいことが分った。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明した如く、本発明によれば、ディスク回転によ
る空気流れによるヘッドサポート揺れを少く、もしくは
回避することが出来、情報の記録再生もしくはヘッドク
ラッシュ回避のための動的に安定した磁気ヘッド支持系
を提供することができ゛る。

第１図ａ、ｂは従来の磁気ヘッドアセンブリを示す平面
図および側面図、第２図ａ、ｂは本発明の一実施例によ
る磁気ヘッドアセンブリを示す平面図および側面図、第
３図は本発明による荷重用はり部の断面形状の一例を示
す断面図である。

Claims (1)

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 磁気へラドコアを有する浮動スライダと、該スライダを
    保持するための可撓性ばね、いわゆるジンバルばねと、
    該ジンバルばねを支持する弾性部と荷重用はり部とを兼
    用した部材よりなる磁気ディスク装置用磁気ヘッドアセ
    ンブリにおいて、波状もしくは凹凸を有する板を用いた
    荷重用はり部を設けたことを特徴とする磁気ヘッド支持
    機構。
