Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明はツインキヤリパーデイスクブレーキの
改良、具体的にはシリンダーサイズの異るツイン
ピストンデイスクブレーキにおいて、小さい方の
シリンダーに対応するキヤリパーのロータを跨ぐ
ブリツジ部の肉厚を削減して軽量化、およびブリ
ツジ部の曲げ応力の均等化を図ることを目的とし
たツインキヤリパーデイスクブレーキに関するも
のである。
〔従来の技術〕
従来この種のツインキヤリパーデイスクブレー
キにおいては第１図に示すように２つのシリンダ
ー１及び２をキヤリパーボデー３内に組込み、こ
れらシリンダー１，２の作用によつてデイスク４
を前後の摩擦パツド５，５′によつて挾圧しこれ
にブレーキ力を及ぼすようにしている。
〔発明が解決しようとする問題点〕
かかるツインキヤリパーデイスクブレーキにお
いて、これら２つのシリンダー１，２のシリンダ
ーサイズが異る場合でも第２図のように大きい方
のシリンダーに合せてキヤリパー剛性を確保して
来ている。
そのために小さい方のシリンダーからみた場
合、キヤリパー剛性は過剰となつており、いわゆ
る惰肉となつている欠点がある。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明はこのような欠点を解消するためになさ
れたもので、大きい方のシリンダーと小さい方の
シリンダーとでキヤリパーのロータを跨ぐブリツ
ジ部の肉盛を後者の方が薄くなるように変えるこ
とにより所期の成果をあげたものである。
即ち本発明の要旨とする所はシリンダーサイズ
の異る大小２つのシリンダーをキヤリパー内に並
列的に組込み、これらシリンダーの作用によつて
デイスクにブレーキ力を及ぼすようにしたツイン
ピストンデイスクブレーキにおいて、上記の小さ
い方のシリンダーに対応するキヤリパーのロータ
を跨ぐブリツジ部の肉厚を上記の大きい方のシリ
ンダーに対応するブリツジ部よりも薄くしたこと
を特徴とするツインキヤリパーデイスクブレーキ
に存する。
〔実施例〕
以下に本発明を図面に示す実施例によつて説明
する。
実施例 １ 第３図に示すようにキヤリパー３の外側部（デ
イスクの放射方向外側）即ちキヤリパーのロータ
を跨ぐブリツジ部の肉盛のうち、大きい方のシリ
ンダー１に対応する部分の肉盛はそのまま残し、
小さい方のシリンダー２に対応する部分の肉盛を
切欠６して削減している。
即ち、第４図に示すように大小のシリンダー
１，２の径d1，d2（但しd1＞d2）に応じてキヤリ
パー３のブリツジ部肉盛中デイスク溝部４′にお
いてシリンダー１に対応する外側の部分及びシリ
ンダー２に対応する外側の部分における肉厚t1，
t2をt1＞t2の関係としたものである。
〔発明の効果〕
本発明によればツインピストンデイスクブレー
キにおいて、小さい方のシリンダー対応するキヤ
リパーのロータを跨ぐブリツジ部の肉厚を大きい
方のシリンダーに対応するブリツジ部のそれより
も薄くしたもので、キヤリパーの各々のブリツジ
部をピストンの大きさに見合つた肉厚とすること
によつてサイズの異なるピストンの加圧反力に対
するブリツジ部の曲げ応力の均等化が図れると共
にキヤリパーを軽量化でき、コストダウンも期し
うる等その工業的価値大なるものがある。

第１図は従来のツインキヤリパーブレーキの正
面図、第２図は同上のＡ−A′矢視図、第３図は
本発明の実施例１に係わるツインキヤリパーブレ
ーキの第２図に対応する図面、第４図は同上の説
明図である。 １……大きい方のシリンダー、２……小さい方
のシリンダー、３……キヤリパー、４……デイス
ク、４′……デイスク溝部、５，５′……摩擦パツ
ド、６……切欠。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. １ シリンダーサイズの異る大小２つのシリンダ
    ーをキヤリパー内に並列的に組込み、これらシリ
    ンダーの作用によつてデイスクにブレーキ力を及
    ぼすようにしたツインピストンデイスクブレーキ
    において、上記の小さい方のシリンダーに対応す
    るキヤリパーのロータを跨ぐブリツジ部の肉厚を
    上記の大きい方のシリンダーに対応するブリツジ
    部よりも薄くしたことを特徴とするツインキヤリ
    パーデイスクブレーキ。
