Abstract

Den oftalmiske sammensetningen ifølge denne oppfinnelsen anvendes for behandling av diabetisk hornhinnelesjon og/eller for behandling av forverret homhinneestesi som innbefatter, som en aktiv bestanddel, en forbindelse representert ved den generelle formelen (I): (D hvori A og B er uavhengig lavere alkylen, X, Y og Z er uavhengig halogen, eller et farmakologisk akseptabelt salt derav. I tillegg anvendes den oftalmiske sammensetningen ifølge denne oppfinnelsen for behandling av ikke-diabetisk hornhinnelesjon, for behandling av tørr-øye-syndrom og/eller for behandling av hypolakrimasjon som innbefatter, som en aktiv bestanddel, en aldose-reduktase-inhibitor. De oftalmiske sammensetningene ifølge denne oppfinnelsen er virksomme for behandling av minst en sykdom valgt blant hornhinnelesjon, forverret hornhinneestesi, tørr-øye- syndrom og hypolakrimasjon.
