Denne oppfinnelsen er en iso- lert og renset DNA-sekvens som koder for et Rb-bindende protein som omfatter en undersekvens med minst 60% homologi med ni tetratrikopeptidgjentakelser i den C-terminale ende, med det forbehold at sekvensen koder hverken for S. pomie gjærprotein nuc2, Rspergillus nidulans protein bimA eller S. cerevislae gjær- protein CDC27, vektorer som inneholder DNA-en, DNA-prober basert på DNA-en og fremgangsmåter for behandling hvor DNA- en og vektorene benyttes. Denne oppfin- nelsen er også rettet mot proteiner som DNA-en koder for, fremgangsmåter for behandling hvor proteinene benyttes, og fremgangsmåter for uttrykking av pro- teinene. Endelig er denne oppfinnelsen rettet mot antistoffer mot proteinene, hybridomer som produserer de mono- klonale antistoffene og diagnostiske fremgangsmåter hvor antistoffene benyt- tes.
