Abstract

MéTODOS PAPA AVALIAçãO DE CARACTERìSTICAS DE SUBSTRATOS FIBROSOS E PARA TRATAMENTO DE SUBSTRATOS FIBROSOS. Um método para avaliação de danos a um substrato fibroso compreende as etapas de: (a) obter o dito substrato fibroso, com um comprimento, uma extremidade de raiz e uma extremidade de ponta, (b) obter um meio para avaliação do teor de umidade do substrato, (o) usar os ditos meio para avaliação do teor de umidade do substrato para obter ao menos um primeiro valor do teor de umidade medido para o dito substrato fibroso em uma primeira posição ao longo do comprimento do mesmo, e um segundo valor do teor de umidade medido para o dito substrato fibroso em uma segunda posição ao longo do comprimento do mesmo, (d) comparar um ao outro os ditos valores de teor de umidade medido para obter um diferencial entre os teores de umidade medidos e (e) correlacionar o dito diferencial entre os teores de umidade medidos com um valor dos danos ao substrato para o dito substrato fibroso.Um método para tratamento de um substrato fibroso compreende as etapas de: (a) avaliar os danos ao substrato fibroso de acordo com o método descrito acima, para obter um valor correlacionado de danos ao dito substrato, (b) usar o valor correlacionado de danos ao substrato para selecionar ao menos uma composição adequada para tratamento do substrato e (a) aplicar a dita composição adequada para tratamento do substrato ao substrato fibroso.
