novo catalisador de transesterificação e processo para a preparação do mesmo. a presente invenção provê um catalisador de transesterificação novel tendo a fórmula geral: zn~ 3~m~ 2~(cn)n(roh) .xzncl~ 2~.yh~ 2~o em que r é butil terciário e m é um íon de metal de transição selecionado a partir de fe, co, e cr; x varia de o a 0.5, y varia de 3-5 e n é 10 ou 12. o catalisador acima é útil para uma transesterificação eficiente de glicerídeos; ésteres de ácido graxo e carbonatos cíclicos em reações com alcoóis.
