Beschreibung
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von Schnittwundparasiten auf Pflanzen bzw. der Krankheiten (Schnittwundkrankheiten), die diese Parasiten bei Pflanzen verursachen, und Zubereitungen, die sich für solche Verwendung eignen.
Schnittwundparasiten sind Fungi oder Bakterien, die Schnittwunden von holzartigen Pflanzen parasitieren, welches zu Verlust oder Schaden solcher Pflanzen führen kann. Ein wichtiger Schnittwundpara-sit ist Eutypa armenica, ein Fungus der Familie der Ascomycetes, auch bekannt unter dem Namen Eutypa lata (siehe B. Dubos et al., Phytoma, Defense des cultures, July-August 1980, Seiten 13-15 und A. Bolay, Revue Suisse de Vitic. Arboric. Hortic. 16, 265-273 (1984). Die durch E. lata verursachte Pilzkrankheit wird im folgenden als Eutypiose bezeichnet.
Verschiedene Verbindungen wie Benodanil, Bitertanol, Triadimenol, Triadimefon, Captafol, Pyracar-bolid und insbesondere Fungizide der Benzimldazol-Strukturklasse wie Carbendazim wurden für die Bekämpfung von Schnittwundparasiten vorgeschlagen und/oder verwendet. Diese Verbindungen konnten aber eine dramatische Verbreitung dieser Parasiten nicht verhindern.
Es wurde jetzt gefunden, dass die Verbindungen der Formel I
worin X für H oder CI und
R für Butyi, 1-Cyclopropyl-ethyl oder 1-Cyclopropyl-1-methyl-ethyl stehen, sich besonders gut für die Bekämpfung bzw. Vorbeugung von Schnittwundkrankheiten eignen.
Falls Rfür Butyi steht, bedeutet es insbesondere n-Butyl oder tert.Butyl.
Bevorzugte Verbindungen der Formel I sind die Verbindung der Formel l worin X für Chlor und R für n-Butyl stehen (Hexaconazol ) und die Verbindung der Formel I worin X für H und R für 1-Gyclopropyl-1-methyl-ethyl stehen (Cyproconazol).
Die Verbindungen der Formel I werden zweckmässig in freier Form oder in der Form eines in der Agrarwirtschaft akzeptablen Säureadditionssalzes eingesetzt.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I sind bekannte Fungizide. Sie wurde bisher jedoch nicht für die Bekämpfung von Schnittwundkrankheiten bzw. der Eutypiose vorgeschlagen.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I und insbesondere Cyproconazol sind besonders effektiv gegen schnittwundparasitierende Fungi und Bakterien von perennierenden Pflanzen. So können sie gegen Cy-lindrocarpon malt auf Obstbäumen, Cytospora cincta auf Pfirsichbäumen, Erwinia amylovora auf Obstbäumen, Pseudomonas syringae und spp. auf Obstbäumen, Agrobacterium tumefaciens auf Weinreben, Erwinia vitivora auf Weinreben, Stereum hirsutum auf Weinreben und Eutypa lata auf Obstbäumen und Weinreben eingesetzt werden.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I können daher zur Bekämpfung von Schnittwundkrankheiten insbesondere von Eutypiose, auf perennierenden Pflanzen verwendet werden, die zunächst während der vegetativen Ruhezeit geschnitten werden, um den Obst- oder Blumenertrag zu erhöhen bzw. die Ertragsqualität zu verbessern.
Die Erfindung betrifft demnach ein Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von Schnittwundkrankheiten bei Pflanzen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man zu den Schnittwunden eine gegen die parasitierenden Fungi wirksame Menge einer Verbindung der Formel I appliziert.
Beispiele von perennierenden Pflanzen, die nach dem erfindungsgemässen Verfahren behandelt werden können, sind Obstpflanzen wie Aprikose, Mango, Pflaume, Pfirsisch, Apfel, Birne, Kirsche, Quitte, Schwarze, Rote oder Weisse Johannisbeere, Walnuss, Feige, Kakipflaume und Holunder, perennierende gärtnerische Kulturen, Zierpflanzen, Rosenkulturen und insbesondere Weinreben.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I können und werden zweckmässig in Kombination mit anderen Fungiziden, z.B. mit Kontaktfungiziden wie Folpet, Thiram oder Kupferfungiziden, und insbesondere mit Benzimi-dazol-Fungiziden wie Benomyl und Carbendazim, insbesondere mit Carbendazim, appliziert.
Geeignete Bakterizide können ebenfalls zugegeben werden. Beispiele von Bakteriziden, die in Kombination mit den Verbindungen der Formel I verwendet werden können, sind organische Bakterizide wie Blasticidin, Cycloheximid, Griseofuivin, Kanigamycin, Oxytetraylin, Streptomycin, Validamycin, Oxine-Kupfer, Nitrapyrin, Dithianon Na-Pyrion, Calvinphos, Flumequin und bakterizide quaternäre Ammoniumsalze wie Cetyl-trimethylammoniumchlorid.
Im erfindungsgemässen Verfahren werden die Verbindungen der Formel I, bzw. deren Gemische mit anderen Fungiziden und/oder Bakteriziden zweckmässig in Form einer fungiziden Zubereitung eingesetzt.
Solche Zubereitungen können auf an sich bekannte Weise, z.B. durch Vermischen einer Verbindung der Formel I und anfälliger zusätzlicher Wirkstoffe mit geeigneten Formulierhilfsmittel wie Verdünner

und gegebenenfalls weiteren Zusätzen wie grenzflächenaktive Substanzen, Pigmente, Verdicker usw. erhalten werden.
Die Applikation solcher Zubereitungen zu den Schnittwunden sollte mit grösster Sorgfalt erfolgen, damit im wesentlichen alle Schnittwunden behandelt werden. Die Zubereitungen sollten zudem auch eine genügende Haftfestigkeit aufweisen, damit sie nicht von Regen abgewachen werden und auch damit sie als Wundverschlussmittel vor Infektionen schützen können.
Spray- oder Staubapplikationen dürften nicht immer zu den gewünschten Resultaten führen. Eine zweckmässigere und effektivere Applikationsart ist mit Hilfe einer Baum- oder Rebschere (hierin kurz als Baumschere bezeichnet), die von einem Behälter versehen ist, der eine Zubereitung der gewünschten Aktivsubstanz(en) enthält, und aus welchem Behälter die Formulierung während des Schneidens entfernt, auf eine oder beide Scherekiingen aufgebracht und über eine geeignete Fläche davon verteilt wird. Verschiedene mit solcher Vorrichtung ausgestattete Behälter sind aus der Literatur bekannt (siehe z.B. die Französische Patentanmeldung 8 510 206). Die bisher für solche Applikationsart vorgeschlagenen Formulierungen besitzen jedoch alle gewisse Nachteile wie ungeeignete Viskosität, ungenügende Haftfestigkeit usw.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I werden zweckmässig so formuliert, dass sie sich besonders gut für die Applikation mittels obendefinierter Baumschere eignen.
Diese Zubereitungen enthalten a) eine effektive Menge eines für die Bekämpfung von Schnittwundparasiten geeigneten Fungizides und/oder Bakterizides, und b) ein öliges, thixotropes, hydrophobes, nicht-phytotoxisches Medium und ist wasserfrei.
Der Ausdruck «thixotrop» bezieht sich auf ein Medium, welches viskos ist, falls in Ruhe und flüssig ist, falls unter dem Einfluss mechanischer Kräfte, z.B. durch Schütteln oder falls unter Druck.
Das ölige, thixotrope, hydrophobe, nicht-phytotoxische Medium besteht im wesentlichen aus einem nicht-phytotoxischen, hydrophoben Öl und einem nicht-phytotoxischen, thixotropen Zusatz.
t Das nicht-phytotoxische, hydrophobe Öl kann z.B. ein Mineralöl, ein pflanzliches Öl, ein tierisches Öl, ein synthetisches Öl, oder ein Gemisch davon sein.
Beispiele geeigneter Mineralöle sind Vaseline und Paraffinöl. Beispiele geeigneter pflanzlicher Öle sind Erdnuss-, Croton-, Kaffee-, Rizinus-, Mandel-, Walnuss-, Palm-, Kokosnuss-, Flachs-, Mohn-, Oliven-, Traubenkernen-, Sesam-, Hanf-, Maiskeim-, Sonnenblumen-, Sojabohnen-, Raps-, und Baum-wollesamenöl sowie Mischungen davon.
Beispiele geeigneter tierischer Öle sind Fischöle, Kabeljauleberöl, Robbenöl, Walfischöl und Ochen-beinöl.
Beispiele geeigneter synthetischer Öle sind hydrierte Öle oder Mischungen davon mit einem epoxy-dierten pflanzlichen Öl oder mit Gemischen von epoxydierten pflanzlichen Ölen. Weitere Beispiele geeigneter hydrophober Öle umfassen dessikante Öle und Silikonöle.
Vorzugsweise wird ein Mineralöl, insbesondere Paraffinöl, oder ein gegebenenfalls epoxydiertes pflanzliches Öl oder ein Gemisch solcher gegebenenfalls epoxydierten pflanzlichen Öle verwendet. Falls das hydrophobe Öl ein pflanzliches Öl ist, oder ein Derivat davon, ist das pflanzliche Öl vorzugsweise Sonnenblumenöl oder Maiskeimöl. Der thixotrope Zusatz ist zweckmässig ein Verdicker, der mit dem hydrophoben Öl ein thixotropes, öliges, hydrophobes, nicht-phytotoxisches Medium bildet. Der Verdicker kann natürlichen, künstlichen, semi-synthetischen oder synthetischen Ursprungs sein.
Beispiele geeigneter natürlicher Verdicker umfassen Magnesiumhydroxid, Bentonittone und kolloidale Kieselerde.
Beispiele geeigneter Verdicker tierischen Ursprungs sind Eialbumin, Blutalbumin, Kasein, Knochenleim und Häutenleim.
Beispiele geeigneter Verdicker pflanzlichen Ursprungs umfassen stärkehaltige Produkte wie Maisstärke und pflanzliche Gummis wie Gummiarabikum, Xanthangummi, Tragantgummi, Johannisbrotmehlgummi und aus Cyamopsis tetragonolaba gewonnenes Gummi. Beispiele geeigneter künstlicher oder semisynthetischer Verdicker sind modifizierte Stärkeprodukte wie säuremodifizierte Stärke, oxydierte Stärke, leicht vernetzte Stärke erhalten durch Reaktion mit Ethylenoxid, verätherte Stärke, carboxmethylier-te Stärke, methylierte Stärke, hydroxyethylierte Stärke, Stärkeabbauprodukte, verätherte Zellulose wie Methylzellulose, Carboxymethylzellulose, Methylhydroxyethylzellulose, Hydroxyethylzellulose und Hy-droxypropylmethylzeliulose.
Beispiele geeigneter synthetischer Verdicker sind polymere Produkte wie Polyvinylaikohole und Po-lyacrylsäure.
Besonders geeignete Verdicker sind anorganische Verdicker, insbesondere kolloidale Kieselerde, vorzugsweise pyrogene kolloidale Kieselerde.
Das Gewichtsverhältnis zwischen dem thixotropen Zusatz und dem hydrophoben Öl liegt zweckmässig zwischen 0.1:99.9 und 1:9, insbesondere zwischen 0.5:99.5 und 1:15, vorzugsweise zwischen 1:99 und 1:40.
Bevorzugte Zubereitungen gemäss der Erfindung enthalten als Wirkstoff Ergosterol Biosynthese Inhibitoren, insbesondere die der Triazol-Strukturklasse, vorzugsweise Verbindungen der Formel I, He-

xaconazol oder Cyproconazol, im speziellen Cyproconazol und Gemische dieser Wirkstoffe mit einem Kupferfungizid wie Kupfer(ll)oxychlorid oder Kupfer(ll)sulfat (z.B. in der Tetrakupfer(ll)-tricalcium-Form), Benomyl, Carbendazim, Thiram, Foipet.
Besonders bevorzugte Zubereitungen sind Zubereitungen die Hexaconazol oder, mehr bevorzugt, Cyproconazol gegebenenfalls in Kombination mit Carbendazim enthalten.
Die hydrophoben, thixotropen Zubereitungen enthalten zweckmässig von 0.5 bis 10 Gewichtsprozente, insbesondere von 1 bis 5 Gewichtsprozente an Wirkstoff.
Die hydrophoben, thixotropen Formulierungen können weitere Zusätze enthalten, z.B. Farbstoffe, um die Verteilung der Zubereitung auf die Schnittwunden zu überprüfen, grenzflächenaktive Substanzen, damit die Formulierung die ganze Schnittwundfläche abdeckt, zusätzliche Lösungsmittel, Frostschutzmittel, Antioxydationsmittel usw.
Die thixotropen Formulierungen weisen zweckmässig eine Viskosität von 200 bis 1500, insbesondere von 500 bis 1200, vorzugsweise von 800 bis 1000 cp auf. Sie werden als eine dünne Schicht appliziert und so, dass die Formulierung die Schnittwunde über ihre ganze Oberfläche abdeckt.
Die thixotropen Formulierungen bilden, unmittelbar nach Applikation eine hydrophobe Schicht, die die Wirkstoffe gegen Auswaschen schützt. Zudem haben die Formulierungen, die ein pflanzliches Öl als hydrophobes Öl enthalten, den Vorteil, dass sie die Penetration des Wirkstoffes (sofern systemisch} in die Pflanzen fördern.
In den nachfolgenden Beispielen, die die Erfindung erläutern, sind Teile und Prozente Gewichtsteile bzw. Gewichtsprozente.

10 Teile einer Verbindung der Formel I, z.B. 2-(4-Chlorphenyl)-3-cyclopropyl-1-(1 H-1,2,4-triazol-1 -yl)-butan-2-ol, werden mit 4 Teilen feiner, synthetischer Kieselerde, 3 Teilen Natriumlaurylsulfat, 7 Teilen Li-gninsulfonat, 66 Teilen fein verteiltem Kaolin und 10 Teilen Diatomeenerde vermischt, und die Mischung wird gemahlen, bis die mittlere Teilchengrösse etwa 5 Mikron beträgt. Das so erhaltene benetzbare Pulver wird vor der Applikation mit Wasser zu einer Brühe verdünnnt, die als Spray appliziert werden kann.
Beispiel 2
10 Teile einer Verbindung der Formel I werden mit 10 Teilen eines Emulgators und 80 Teilen Isopropanol vermischt Das Emulsionskonzentrat wird vor der Applikation zur gewünschten Konzentration verdünnt.
Beispiel 3
Ein Teil 2-(4-Chlorphenyl)-3-cyclopropyl-1 -(1 H-1,2,4-triazol-1 -yl)-butan-2-ol wird gemahlen, bis die mittlere Teilchengrösse etwa 1 Mikron beträgt. 97 Teile Sonnenblumenöl werden dann unter kräftigem Rühren zugegeben, gefolgt von 2 Teilen pyrogener, kolloidaler Kieselerde, und man rührt weiter, bis eine homogene Mischung erhalten wird. Es verbleibt eine feine, hydrophobe, thixotrope Dispersion.
Beispiel 4
Man verfährt wie in Beispiel 3 beschrieben, verwendet aber Paraffinöl oder Maiskeimöl statt Sonnenblumenöl.

Man verfährt wie in Beispiel 3 beschrieben, verwendet aber Hexaconazol statt des Triazols als Wirkstoff»
Beispiel 6
Man verfährt wie in Beispiel 5 beschrieben, verwendet aber Paraffinöl statt Sonnenblumenöl.
Beispiel 7
Man verfährt wie in Beispiel 5 beschrieben, verwendet aber Maiskeimöl statt Sonnenblumenöl.
Beispiel 8
Man verfährt wie in jedem der Beispiele 5 bis 7 beschrieben, verwendet aber 1 Teil eines 1.25:1-Gemi-sches von Carbendazim:Cyproconazol statt Hexaconazol.

Weinreben werden geschnitten mit einer Rebschere, die von einer Vorrichtung für die simultane Behandlung von Schnittwunden versehen ist, z.B. wie in der Französischen Patentanmeldung 8 510 206 oder Internationale Patentanmeldung 8 600 229 beschrieben. Die Vorrichtung besteht im wesentlichen aus einem von einem Ventil versehenen Behälter, der die Formulierung gemäss Beispiel 3 oder 4 enthält. Während des Schneidens wird die Formulierung von dem Behälter auf die Schereklingen und von da auf die Schnittwunden appliziert. Die Formulierung bleibt intakt auf den Schnittwunden während einer längeren Zeitperiode trotz schlechten Wetterbedingungen und schützt die Wunden gegen Parasiten wie Eutypa lata.
Beispiel 10
In Beispiel 9 werden die Formulierungen gemäss Beispiel 3 oder 4 durch jede der Formulierungen gemäss Beispiel 5 bis 8 ersetzt. Ähnlich gute Resultate werden erzielt.
Claims (10)
1. Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von Schnittwundparasiten bei Pflanzen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man zu den Schnittwunden eine gegen die parasitierenden Fungi wirksame Menge einer Verbindung der Formel I

worin X für H oder CI und
R für Butyi, 1-Cyclopropyl-ethyl oder 1-CycIopropyI-1-methyI-ethyl bedeuten, appliziert.
2. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass X für CI und R für n-Butyl stehen.
3. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass X für H und R für 1-Gyclopropyl-ethyl stehen.
4. Verfahren gemäss einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Verbindung der Formel I in Kombination mit mindestens einem der Fungizide der Reihe Folpet, Thiram, ein Kupferfungizid, Benomyl und Carbendazim, appliziert wird.
5. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 1 bis 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Verbindung der Formel I mit Hilfe einer mit einem Behälter versehenen Baumschere appliziert, aus deren Behälter während des Schneidens eine Zubereitung des Wirkstoffes auf eine oder beide Schereklingen aufgebracht und über eine geeignete Fläche davon verteilt wird.
6. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Kombination mit Hilfe einer mit einem Behälter versehenen Baumschere appliziert, aus deren Behälter während des Schneidens eine Zubereitung des Wirkstoffes auf eine oder beide Schereklingen aufgebracht und über eine geeignete Fläche davon verteilt wird.
7. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 5 oder 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zubereitung von 0.5 bis 10 Gewichts-% an Wirkstoff enthält.
8. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Zubereitung von 1 bis 5 Gewichts-% an Wirkstoff enthält.
9. Verfahren gemäss Ansprüchen 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Eutypiose bekämpft.
10.Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Weinreben behandelt.
