LA INVENCION CONSISTE EN CREAR PROTEINAS DE FUSION ENTRE PROTEINA DE RECOMBINASA, O COMPONENTES DE SISTEMA DE RECOMBINASA, Y LIGANDOS QUE ENLAZAN CAMPOS DERIVADOS DE RECEPTORES NUCLEARES. LAS PROTEINAS FUSION MUESTRAN UNA PEQUEÑA ACTIVIDAD DE RECOMBINASA EN AUSENCIA DEL LIGANDO QUE SE ENLAZA AL CAMPO DE ENLACE DE LIGANDO. AL ENLAZAR EL LIGANDO, LA ACTIVIDAD DE RECOMBINASA SE REDUCE.LA INVENCION PROPORCIONA UN MEDIO PRACTICO PARA REGULAR LA RECOMBINACION EN LAS CELULAS Y ORGANISMOS Y, ENLAZANDO ENLACE DE LIGANDO A RECOMBINACION, SE PROPORCIONA UN MEDIO SENCILLO CON LO QUE EL ENLACE DE LIGANDO PUEDE SER MEDIDO COMO RECOMBINACION REALIZADA.
