La presente invención se refiere a un dispositivo de inyección del tipo que recibe una jeringuilla, se extiende, descarga su contenido y entonces se repliega automáticamente. Los dispositivos de esta descripción general se muestran en los documentos de patente WO 95/35126 y EP-A-0 516473 y tienden a emplear un resorte de conducción y alguna forma de liberar el mecanismo que libera la jeringuilla de la influencia del resorte de conducción una vez que su contenido se supone que ha sido descargado para permitir que se repliegue mediante un resorte de retorno.
A menudo, se requiere que dichos dispositivos de inyección trabajen con jeringuillas hipodérmicas selladas que normalmente tienen una cubierta sellada herméticamente o “cubierta” que cubre la aguja hipodérmica y mantiene la esterilidad de los contenidos de la jeringuilla. Naturalmente, es necesario mantener la esterilidad de los contenidos de la jeringuilla en el momento de la administración, lo que significa que para los dispositivos que están diseñados para ser desechables, la cubierta se debe retirar con la jeringuilla dentro del dispositivo de inyección.
Normalmente, la acción requiere que se retire la cubierta de la jeringuilla lo que supone que se tire la cubierta de la jeringuilla o que se gire la cubierta y que se saque de la jeringuilla. Si una jeringuilla llena se ha utilizado durante bastante tiempo antes de que se use, a menudo es difícil retirar la cubierta de la jeringuilla; se necesita normalmente una fuerza sustancial mayor a 20 N.
Si los dispositivos de inyección se usan por pacientes con artritis traumática o pacientes mayores o débiles, difícil para el paciente retirar la cubierta de la jeringuilla antes de que se use. Además, las cubiertas son pequeñas y complicadas de agarrar para todos los usuarios pero en especial para los usuarios que tengan poca flexibilidad en sus extremidades o destreza manual limitada. En el caso de que la cubierta de la jeringuilla se ubicara dentro de la caja, también se limitará el acceso a la cubierta.
La patente US no. 5.957.897 revela un aplicador de aguja de abertura para medicinas de cartucho con una disposición para la retracción de una aguja automática después de la expresión de contenidos de cartucho. El preámbulo de la reivindicación 1 está basado en dicha patente. La patente no. US 6.447.480 revela un dispositivo de inyección donde la capa protectora tiene un perfil complementario con una sección intermedia en forma de una leva.
Sumario de la invención
Los dispositivos de inyección de la presente invención están diseñados para tratar estos problemas.
Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con la presente invención comprende:
una caja adaptada para recibir una jeringuilla teniendo una cánula de descarga y una cubierta que cubre su cánula de descarga, la caja definiendo un primer eje y teniendo un primer y un segundo extremo, en los que la cánula de descarga es capaz de extenderse desde el primer extremo de la caja a través de una una abertura de salida, la caja además teniendo una superficie de leva en su primer extremo; y
un miembro de cierre de la caja teniendo una superficie de leva para comunicarse con la superficie de leva en la caja, de manera que la rotación del miembro de cierre de la caja sobre el eje provoca que el miembro de cierre de la caja se mueva axialmente alejándose de la caja;
el miembro del cierre de la caja además comprende medios para conectarse a la cubierta de la jeringuilla de manera que al retirarse el miembro de cierre de la caja de la caja provoque que se origine la retirada de la cubierta de la jeringuilla;
en el que las superficies de leva en la caja y los medios de cierre de la caja comprenden las superficies curvas correspondientes; y
en el que los medios para conectar comprenden una junta de agarre prensada con un diámetro interno perfilado.
El miembro de cierre de la caja puede comprender además una característica de agarre externa con la que un usuario puede agarrar el miembro de cierre de la caja.
Uno de entre el miembro de cierre de la caja y la caja puede comprender además un saliente con el que un entrante correspondiente en otro de los miembros de cierre de la caja y la caja puede comunicar para retener el miembro de cierre de la caja en la caja.
En uso, la cubierta se insertaría en el centro de la junta de agarre y el diámetro interno perfilado se deformaría ligeramente alrededor de la cubierta. En particular, la junta de agarre está curvada en forma frustrocónica. Sin embargo, dado que se retira el capuchón, la junta de agarre tocaría la cubierta y evita que se origine la retirada del

capuchón.
El diámetro interno de la junta de agarre puede estar almenado. De forma alternativa, la junta de agarre podrá comprender una junta de estrella dentada internamente o una junta a prueba de sacudidas. Los medios para conectar pueden estar formados de metal. Los medios para conectar pueden estar en un entrante moldeado dentro de los medios de cierre de la caja. Los medios para conectar pueden estar alojados en un reborde central moldeado en el interior de los medios de
cierre de la caja. Los medios para conectar pueden estar sujetos a los medios de cierre de la caja mediante de un
entrante moldeado en el reborde central. Los medios de cierre de la caja pueden comprender además una superficie de soporte para soportar un extremo de una cubierta de una jeringuilla.

Descripción detallada
Las figuras 1 a 5 y 9 muestran un dispositivo de inyección 110 de acuerdo con la primera realización de la presente invención. El dispositivo de inyección tiene una caja 112 del dispositivo de inyección.
La caja 112 contiene una jeringuilla hipodérmica 114 de tipo convencional, incluyendo un cuerpo de jeringuilla 116 definiendo un depósito y terminando en un extremo en una aguja hipodérmica 118. La jeringuilla 114 tiene una cobertura sellada herméticamente o “cubierta” que cubre la aguja hipodérmica 118 y mantiene la esterilidad de los contenidos de la jeringuilla. La cubierta está formada generalmente de una goma suave de material plástico. Aunque la jeringuilla ilustrada es de tipo hipodérmico, esto no tiene que ser necesariamente así. Las jeringuillas transcutáneas o dérmicas balísticas y subcutáneas se pueden utilizar también con el dispositivo de inyección de la presente invención.
El dispositivo de inyección se proporciona además con un capuchón 130. Como bien se puede ver en las figuras 1 a 3 y 7, el capuchón se retiene en la caja 112 mediante un saliente 113 de una caja 112 y un entrante correspondiente 131 dentro del capuchón 130.
Cerca del extremo de la caja 112 de la que la aguja hipodérmica se puede extender, se dispone una superficie de leva curvada 150 que corresponde con otra superficie de leva curvada 152 en el capuchón 130.
Como se puede apreciar en las figuras 7 y 8, el interior del capuchón 130 se dispone con una junta de agarre almenada 160. Esta junta de agarre 160 se muestra en la figura 6. La junta de agarre 160 se ubica en el capuchón 130 mediante un entrante correspondiente 162 que está moldeado en el interior del capuchón 130.
El exterior del capuchón 130 se dispone con un par de superficies de agarre 170. Estas superficies de agarre 170 disponen una superficie a través de la que el usuario puede agarrar el capuchón 130.

Como se puede apreciar en la figura 9, el interior del capuchón 130 se dispondrá con una superficie de soporte 180 que soporta el extremo de la cubierta 120.
Durante la fabricación del dispositivo de inyección 110, la jeringuilla 114 y la cubierta 120 están insertados dentro de la caja como una pieza única. El capuchón se ubica en la caja de manera que la cubierta 120 se lleva al centro de la
5 junta almenada 160 y el saliente 113 de la caja se junta con el entrante 131 en el capuchón 130. Además las dos superficies de leva 150, están alineadas. Forzando la cubierta 120 en la junta almenada 160, los almenados se deforman de manera que las juntas tienen una forma frustrocónica. El metal de que se forma la junta 160 está formado de cortes en el plástico más suaves o de material de goma del que se forma la cubierta 120. Seguidamente se produce un agarre muy firme en la cubierta 120.
10 Cuando se va utilizar el dispositivo de inyección 110, el usuario coge la caja con una mano y agarra el capuchón 130 con la otra mano utilizando las superficies de agarre 170. El usuario entonces desenrosca el capuchón 130. Al desenroscar el capuchón 130, las dos superficies de leva 150, 152 se mueven una con respecto a la otra y el capuchón 130 se mueve axialmente fuera de la caja 112. Este movimiento de eje y rotativo también mueve y presiona la cubierta 120 alejándose de la jeringuilla 114. La cubierta 120 se mantiene fija dentro del capuchón 130
15 mediante la junta almenada 160 porque la fuerza requerida para mover la cubierta 120 y retirarla de la jeringuilla 114 es significativamente menor que la requerida para mover la cubierta 120 de la jeringuilla 114 en un ángulo, manteniendo la alineación del eje de la cubierta 120 dentro del capuchón 130.
La presente invención proporciona una manera efectiva y simple de resolver los problemas de los dispositivos del estado de la técnica. Debido a que no se necesita realizar ninguna modificación en la jeringuilla o en la cubierta, una
20 jeringuilla estándar se puede utilizar y los costes de fabricación se pueden reducir. Además, las tolerancias con las que la jeringuilla y la cubierta se ubican dentro de la caja no son críticas ya que una vez que la cubierta ha sido insertada en la junta almenada, no se puede retirar. No importa cuánto se extienda la cubierta a través de la junta, siempre que la junta agarre la cubierta suficientemente. Debido a que la profundidad de inserción y el tamaño exacto de la jeringuilla y de la cubierta pueden estar sujetos a variaciones, es una ventaja significativa.
25 Además, el número de pasos operativos requeridos para utilizar el dispositivo se reduce ya que es necesario realizar dos pasos separados para retirar el capuchón y la cubierta.

- 5101520253035REIVINDICACIONES1.-Un dispositivo de inyección (110) que comprende:una caja (112) adaptada para recibir una jeringuilla (114) teniendo una cánula de descarga (118) y una cubierta(120) que cubre su cánula de descarga, definiendo la caja un primer eje y teniendo un primer y un segundo extremo, en los que la cánula de descarga es capaz de extenderse desde un primer extremo de la caja a través de una abertura de salida, la caja además teniendo una superficie de leva (150) en su primer extremo; y caracterizado por:un miembro de cierre (130) de la caja que tiene una superficie de leva (152) para comunicarse con la superficie de leva en la caja de manera que la rotación del miembro de cierre de la caja alrededor del eje provoca que el miembro de cierre de la caja se mueva axialmente alejándose de la caja, en el que el miembro de cierre de la caja además comprende medios (160) para conectar la cubierta de la jeringuilla de manera que al retirarse el miembro de cierre de la caja de la caja origine la retirada de la cubierta de la jeringuilla;en el que las superficies de leva en la caja y los medios de cierre de la caja comprenden las superficies curvas correspondientes; yen el que los medios para conectar comprenden una junta de agarre prensada (160) con un diámetro interno perfilado.
- 2.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1 que comprende además una característica de agarre externo (170) con la que un usuario puede agarrar el miembro de cierre de una caja.
- 3.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con cualquier reivindicación precedente, en el que uno de los miembros de cierre de la caja y la caja además comprende un saliente (113) con el que un entrante correspondiente (131) en otro de los miembros de cierre de la caja y la caja pueden comunicarse para retener el miembro de cierre de la caja en la caja.
- 4.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1 en el que el diámetro interno de la junta de agarre está almenado.
- 5.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con la reivindicación 1, en el que la junta de agarre comprende una junta en forma de estrella dentada internamente o una junta a prueba de sacudidas.
- 6.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con cualquiera de las reivindicaciones 1, 4 o 5, en el que, después de conectar la cubierta de la jeringuilla al miembro de cierre de la caja, la junta de agarre es doblado en forma frustrocónica.
- 7.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con cualquier reivindicación precedente, en el que el medio para conectar está formado de metal.
- 8.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con cualquier reivindicación precedente en el que el medio para conectar se mantiene en un entrante moldeado dentro de los medios de cierre de la caja.
- 9.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con cualquier reivindicación precedente en el que el medio para conectar es almacenado en un reborde central moldeado en el interior de los medios de cierre de la caja.
- 10.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con la reivindicación 9, en el que el medio de conexión es mantenido en su lugar en los medios de cierre de la caja por un entrante (162) moldeado en el reborde central.
- 11.-Un dispositivo de inyección de acuerdo con cualquier reivindicación precedente, que comprende además una superficie de soporte (180) para soportar un extremo de una cubierta para una jeringuilla.5
