Description
Relatório Descritivo da Patente de Invenção para "DISPOSITIVO DE INJEÇÃO".
Fundamentos da Técnica [001] A presente invenção refere-se a um dispositivo de injeção do tipo que recebe uma seringa, prolonga a mesma, descarrega seu conteúdo e depois retrai a mesma automaticamente. Dispositivos dessa descrição geral são mostrados nos documentos WO 95/35126 e EP-A-0 516 473 e tendem a usar uma mola de acionamento e alguma forma de mecanismo de liberação, que libera a seringa da influência da mola de acionamento uma vez que se presuma que seu conteúdo tenha sido descarregado, para possibilitar que seja retraída por uma mola de retorno.
[002] Frequentemente, esses dispositivos de injeção precisam funcionar com seringas hipodérmicas que, tipicamente, têm uma tampa ou "cobertura de proteção", que cobre a agulha hipodérmica e conserva a esterilidade do conteúdo da seringa. Naturalmente, é necessário conservar a esterilidade do conteúdo da seringa até o momento da administração, o que significa que para dispositivos que estão projetados para ser descartáveis, a cobertura de proteção precisa ser removida com a seringa dentro do dispositivo de injeção.
[003] Tipicamente, a ação necessária para remover a cobertura de proteção da seringa acarreta ou puxar a cobertura de proteção da seringa ou torcer a cobertura de proteção e puxar a mesma d seringa. Se uma seringa cheia tiver ficado algum tempo por aí antes de ser usada, muitas vezes é difícil remover a cobertura de proteção da seringa; frequentemente, é necessária uma força acima de 20N.
[004] Se os dispositivos de injeção forem usados por pacientes com artrite reumatóide ou pacientes idosos ou fracos, é difícil para o paciente remover a cobertura de proteção da seringa antes de seu uso. Além disso, as coberturas de proteção são pequenas e inadequa- das de segurar para todos os usuários, mas, particularmente, para usuários que têm pouca flexibilidade em suas articulações ou destreza manual limitada. Como a cobertura de proteção da seringa pode estar posicionada dentro da carcaça, também pode haver acesso limitado à cobertura de proteção.
Sumário da Invenção [005] Os dispositivos de injeção da presente invenção estão projetadas para lidar com esses problemas.
[006] Um dispositivo de injeção da presente invenção compreende: [007] uma carcaça adaptada para receber uma seringa, com um bico de descarga e uma cobertura de proteção que cobre seu bico de descarga, sendo que a carcaça define um primeiro eixo e com uma primeira e uma segunda extremidade, sendo que o bico de descarga é capaz de estender-se da primeira extremidade da carcaça através de uma abertura de saída, sendo que a carcaça tem ainda uma superfície de engate em sua primeira extremidade; e [008] um elemento de fechamento de carcaça, com uma superfície de engate para comunicar-se com a superfície de engate na carcaça, de modo que a rotação do elemento de fechamento de carcaça em torno do eixo faz com que o elemento de fechamento de carcaça se mova axialmente para fora da carcaça;
[009] o elemento de fechamento de carcaça compreende ainda um dispositivo para ligar-se na cobertura de proteção da seringa, de modo que a remoção do elemento de fechamento de carcaça da carcaça causa a remoção da cobertura de proteção da seringa.
[010] As superfícies de engate na carcaça e no elemento de fechamento de carcaça podem compreender superfícies curvas correspondentes.
[011] O elemento de fechamento de carcaça pode compreender ainda um dispositivo para segurar externo, com o qual um usuário pode segurar o elemento de fechamento de carcaça.
[012] Um do elemento de fechamento de carcaça e da carcaça pode compreender, ainda, uma estria com a qual um entalhe correspondente no outro do elemento de fechamento de carcaça e da carcaça, pode comunicar-se a fim de reter o elemento de fechamento de carcaça na carcaça.
[013] O meio para ligação pode compreender uma arruela de aperto prensada, com um diâmetro interno perfilado. Quando em uso, a cobertura de proteção é inserida no centro da arruela de aperto, e o diâmetro interno perfilado deforma-se ligeiramente para circundar a cobertura de proteção. Particularmente, a arruela de aperto pode ser curvada para um formato de tronco cônico. Mas, quando a tampa é removida, a arruela de aperto se encrava na cobertura de proteção e impede que a mesma seja removida da tampa.
[014] O diâmetro interno da arruela de aperto pode ser escalonada. Alternativamente, a arruela de aperto pode compreender uma arruela em estrela com endentação interna ou arruela à prova de choque.
[015] O dispositivo de ligação pode ser formado de metal.
[016] O dispositivo de ligação pode ser retido em um entalhe moldado no dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça.
[017] O dispositivo de ligação pode estar alojado em uma saliência central moldada no interior do dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça. O dispositivo de ligação pode ser retido em seu lugar no dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça por um entalhe moldado na saliência central.
[018] Alternativamente, o meio de ligação pode ser moldado do mesmo material como o dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça, como parte de uma saliência central moldada no interior do dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça.
[019] O dispositivo de ligação pode compreender uma saliência central com uma extremidade oca, na qual um rebordo da extremidade oca está chanfrado em sua borda de entrada, mas não em sua borda de saída. Quando em uso, a cobertura de proteção passa por cima da borda chanfrada quando é inserida no dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça. Mas, quando o dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça é removido, a borda de saída encrava-se na cobertura de proteção e impede que a mesma seja removida do dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça.
[020] O dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça pode compreender, ainda, uma superfície de apoio para apoiar uma extremidade de uma cobertura de proteção de uma seringa.

Descrição Detalhada [031] As figuras 1 a 5 e 9 mostram um dispositivo de injeção 110 de acordo com uma primeira modalidade da presente invenção. O dispositivo de injeção tem uma carcaça de dispositivo de injeção 112.
[032] A carcaça 112 contém uma seringa hipodérmica 114 do tipo convencional, que inclui um corpo de seringa 116 que define um reservatório e termina em uma extremidade em uma agulha hipodérmica 118. A seringa 114 tem um envoltório ou "cobertura de proteção" her-meticamente vedado, que cobre a agulha hipodérmica 118 e conserva a esterilidade do conteúdo da seringa. A cobertura de proteção está formada, em geral, de uma borracha macia ou matéria plástica. Embora a seringa representada seja do tipo hipodérmico, esse não precisa, necessariamente, ser o caso. Seringas transcutâneas ou dérmicas balísticas e subcutâneas também podem ser usadas com o dispositivo de injeção da presente invenção.
[033] O dispositivo de injeção está dotado, ainda, de uma tampa 130. Tal como se vê melhor das figuras 1 a 3 e 7, a tampa é retida na carcaça 112 por uma estria 113 na carcaça 112, e um entalhe 131 correspondente no interior da tampa 130.
[034] Próxima à extremidade da carcaça 112, da qual pode estender-se a agulha hipodérmica, está prevista uma superfície de engate 150 curva, que corresponde a uma outra superfície de engate 152 curva na tampa 130.
[035] Tal como pode ser visto das figuras 7 e 8 o interior da tampa 130 está dotado de uma arruela de aperto 160 escalonada. Essa arruela de aperto 160 é mostrada na figura 6. a arruela de aperto 160 é retida em seu lugar na tampa 130 por um entalhe 162 correspondente, que está moldado no interior da tampa 130.
[036] O exterior da tampa 130 está dotado de um par de superfícies para segurar 170. Essas superfícies para segurar 170 oferecem uma superfície através da qual o usuário pode segurar a tampa 130.
[037] Tal como pode ser visto da figura 9, o interior da tampa 130 pode estar dotado de uma superfície de apoio 180, que apoia a extremidade da cobertura de proteção 120.
[038] Durante a fabricação do dispositivo de injeção 110, a seringa 114 e a cobertura de proteção 120 são inseridas na carcaça como uma só peça. A tampa é colocada sobre a carcaça, de modo que a cobertura de proteção 120 é forçada para o centro da arruela 160 escalonada e a estria 113 na carcaça se engate com o entalhe 131 na tampa 130. Além disso, as duas superfícies de engate 150 estão alinhadas. Forçando a cobertura de proteção 120 para dentro da arruela 160 escalonada, os escalonamentos se deformam de tal modo que a arruela assume um formato ligeiramente em forma de tronco cônico. O metal do qual a arruela 160 é formado se encrava no material de plástico ou de borracha mais macio do qual a cobertura de proteção 120 é formada. Consequentemente, é produzido um aperto muito firme sobre a cobertura de proteção 120.
[039] Quando o dispositivo de injeção 110 for ser usado, o usuário segura a carcaça com uma mão e segura a tampa 130 com a outra mão usando as superfícies para segurar 170. Depois, o usuário gira a tampa 130. Ao girar a tampa 130, as duas superfícies de engate 150, 152 movem-se uma sobre a outra e a tampa 130 é movida axialmente para fora da carcaça 112. Esse movimento rotacional e axial também torce e puxa a cobertura de proteção 120 para fora da seringa 114. A cobertura de proteção 120 é mantida estacionária dentro da tampa 130 pela arruela 160 escalonada, porque a força necessária para torcer a cobertura de proteção 120 e remover a mesma da seringa 114 é significativamente menor do que a necessária para puxar a cobertura de proteção 120 para fora do centro da arruela 160 escalonada. A superfície de apoio 180 serve para impedir que a cobertura de proteção 120 seja puxada para fora da seringa 114 em um ângulo, mantendo o alinhamento axial da cobertura de proteção 120 dentro da tampa 130.
[040] A presente invenção põe à disposição uma maneira simples e eficaz de solucionar os problemas dos dispositivos da técnica anterior. Como não é necessário fazer modificações na seringa ou na cobertura de proteção, pode ser usada uma seringa comum e os custos de fabricação podem ser reduzidos. Além disso, as tolerâncias com as quais a seringa e a cobertura de proteção estão posicionadas dentro da carcaça não são críticas, uma vez que, tendo sido inserida na arruela escalonada, a cobertura de proteção não pode ser removida. Não importa o quanto da cobertura de proteção se estende através da arruela, desde que a arruela aperte suficientemente a cobertura de proteção. Como a profundidade de inserção e tamanho exato da seringa e da cobertura de proteção podem estar sujeitos a variação, essa é uma vantagem significativa.
[041] Além disso, o número de etapas operacionais necessário par usar o dispositivo é minimizado, uma vez que não é necessário realizar duas etapas separadas para remover a tampa e a cobertura de proteção.

2. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que as superfícies de engate (152) na carcaça (112) e no dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça compreendem superfícies curvas correspondentes.
3. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com a reivindicação 1 ou 2, caracterizado pelo fato de que ainda compreende um dispositivo para segurar externo (170) com o qual um usuário pode segurar o elemento de fechamento de carcaça (130).

Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 3, caracterizado pelo fato de que um dentre o elemento de fechamento de carcaça (130) e da carcaça (112) ainda compreendem uma estria (113) com a qual um entalhe (131) correspondente no outro dentre o elemento de fechamento de carcaça (130) e da carcaça (112) pode se comunicar de modo a reter o elemento de fechamento de carcaça (130) na carcaça (112).
5. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que o diâmetro interno da arruela de aperto (160) é escalonado.
6. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com a reivindicação 1, caracterizado pelo fato de que a arruela de aperto (160) compreende uma arruela em estrela com endentação interna ou arruela à prova de choques.
7. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 6, caracterizado pelo fato de que, ao conectar a cobertura de proteção de seringa ao elemento de fechamento de carcaça (130), a arruela de aperto (160) é curvada para um formato em forma de tronco cônico.
8. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 7, caracterizado pelo fato de que o dispositivo para conectar é formado de metal.
9. Dispositivo de injeção, de acordo com qualquer uma das reivindicações 1 a 8, caracterizado pelo fato de que o dispositivo para conectar é retido em um entalhe moldado dentro do dispositivo de fechamento de carcaça.
