Abstract

Un procedimiento para separar al menos un gas en una mezcla gaseosa de al menos otro gas en dicha mezcla gaseosa por permeación selectiva y que proporciona un producto que ha sido sometido a permeación que contiene al menos un gas de permeación, que comprende al menos, poner en contacto la mezcla gaseosa con una superficie de una membrana, la cual membrana exhibe, con respecto a al menos un par de gases de dicha mezcla gaseosa, una permeación selectiva de un gas de dicho par de gases sobre el del gas restante de dicho par de gases, mantener la superficie opuesta de la membrana a un potencial químico inferior para al menos dicho gas de permeación que el potencial químico en dicha superficie, hacer atravesar al menos dicho gas de permeación a través de la membrana, y separar de la proximidad de dicha superficie opuesta un producto que ha sido sometido a permeación que tiene una proporción diferente de dicho gas de dicha mezcla gaseosa con respecto a dicho otro gas de dicha mezcla gaseosa quela proporción en dicha mezcla gaseosa de al menos un gas con relación a dicho otro gas, caracterizado porque la membrana es una membrana de componentes múltiples que comprende un revestimiento en contacto de oclusión con una membrana de separación porosa que tiene un volumen de huecos importante y que comprende material, exhibiendo dicho material una permeación selectiva de al menos un gas de la mezcla gaseosa sobre la de uno o mas gases restantes de la mezcla gaseosa, en donde con respecto a al menos un par de gases de dicha mezcla gaseosa, el material de la membrana porosa de separación exhibe un factor de separación intrínseco determinado del material de revestimiento y la membrana de componentes múltiples exhibe un factor de separación significativamente mayor que el factor de separación intrínseco determinado del material del revestimiento y mayor que el factor de separación exhibido por la membrana porosa de separación.
