Abstract
PURPOSE: To effectively remove dust from packings during travelling period by making the transfer of packings easier by using a fluid as a transferring means for packings and by providing an expanded portion on the way of the pipe through which the fluid is flowed.
CONSTITUTION: Dust present in waste gas flowing in the waste gas duct 11 is adhered to the packings 13 in the moving bed reactor 1 for removal. The dust-adhered packings 13 are dropped through the double damper 3 onto the duct 4 side and then transferred to the hopper 6 by means of a fluid passing through the duct 4. During the travelling period, the feed speed of the packings 13 is rapidly reduced by the expanded portion 5 provied on the way of the duct 4 and again rapidly hastened by the following ordinary size portion of the duct 4. Such a repeated speed deceration- acceleration operation enables one to remove dust from the packings 13 in the separation machanism on the lower side. The separated dust is discharged through the chute 9 and the packings 13 alone is supplied to the moving bed reactor 1.
