Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は、複雑な形状の中空部を有する成形体(以下、
中空成形体という)の製造法に関する。
中空成形体の製造方法としては、一般には回転成形、プ
ロー成形、真空成形等があるが、これらの成形方法では
複雑な形状のもの、特に外形が比較的単純でかつ中空部
の形状が複雑なものは成形困難であり、使用しうる材料
にも限界があり、特に耐熱性を有する材料(例えば熱硬
化性樹脂)はほとんど使用できない。
他の成形法としては、中空成形体を複数に分割した形状
のものを成形し、それらを接着、溶着、熱圧着等により
接合して接合し中空成形体を形成する方法があり、その
中でも接着剤を用いるのが一般的であり、接着剤として
瞬間接着剤、常温又は加熱硬化接着剤が使用されている
。しかし、これらの接着剤は(i)均一に塗布しにくく
、被接着部以外にも付着しやすく、粘性、べとつきがあ
るなどのため取扱いが難しい、(11)溶剤、揮発分等
を含むものが多く作業環境を悪くする、0ii)塗布後
接層までに時間的な制約がある、(iv)耐熱性、耐薬
品性などの劣るものが多い、等の欠点を有している。
本発明はかかる欠点を改良したもので、中空体を複数に
分割した形状の部分成形物を成形し、それらを熱硬化性
接着シートにより接着し、更に必要により得られた成形
体を合成樹脂で封入することにより中空成形体を製造す
る方法である。
本発明において前記熱硬化性接着シートとしてはガラス
繊維、有機繊維、紙等のシート状基材に熱硬化性樹脂を
均一に含浸させ乾燥させた接着シート(以下、グリプレ
グという)を用いるが好適で、その中でも基材としては
特にガラス繊維が好ましい。一方熱硬化性樹脂としては
フェノール樹脂、エポキシ樹脂、ポリエステル樹脂、ポ
リイミド樹脂、及びそれらの変性物が好ましく、成形体
の材質に応じて適宜選択される。
本発明において、必要に応じて、接着され組立てられた
成形体は成形金型キャビティにセットし、合成樹脂を金
型キャビティ内に注入することにより前記成形体の一部
又は全部を前記合成樹脂で封入することにより、得られ
る中空成形体の形状、特性をよシ向上させ、安定化させ
ることができる。
本発明は次のような特徴を有している。
(i)7″リグレグは樹脂醍が均一であるので、接着力
のバラツキが少ない。
(i+)  f ’)プレグの取扱いが容易で、樹脂が
被接着部以外につく必要がない。
(+ii)  グリプレグは経時変化が小さいので、接
着操作に時間的制約を受けない。
(iv)  熱硬化性樹脂を接着に用いているので、耐
熱性、耐薬品性がすぐれている。
次に実施例を示す。第1図の如く、部品lと部品2を接
着する際、グリプレグからなる接着シート3を中間に挿
入する。接着シートは可撓性であるため部品の間にはさ
まれたとき、接着面とよくなじむ。部品1.2には加圧
力を加えるだめのボルト孔4.5が設けられている。接
着シート3は第1図では全幅になっているが、必ずしも
全幅である必要はなり、リボン状のノートで十分な場合
もある。接着シートの加工はパンチング等で複雑な形状
のものも簡単にできる。
接着工程は第2図のように部品1.2及び接着シート3
をボルト6により締付けて加圧し、接着シートの熱硬化
性樹脂が硬化する温度まで上昇させ、所定時間保持する
ことにより行われる。ボルト締めの他、治具による加圧
でもよい。
被接着物である部品は金属、合成樹脂等檀々の材質のも
のが使用されうるが、合成樹脂どうし、又は合成樹脂と
金属との組合わせが特に好ましい。
というのは合成樹脂では後加熱と接着ノートの硬化とを
同時に行うことができ、コスト低減を行うことができる
ためである。

  1. (1)複数の部分成形物を組立てて中空部を有する成形
    体を製造する方法において、各部分成形物の接合部を熱
    硬化性接着シートで接着することを特徴とする中空部を
    有する成形体の製造法1、
  2. (2)複数の部分成形物を組立てて中空部を有する成形
    体を製造する方法において、各部分成形物の接合部を熱
    硬化性接着シートで接着し九のち、得られた成形体の一
    部又は全部を合成樹脂材料によって封入することを特徴
    とする中空部を有する成形体の製造法。
