Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 本発明は写真感光材料用の包装材料に関し、さらに詳細
には、十分な物理強度を有する一方、袋として用いた場
合開封が容易であり、かつ安価に製造できる写真感光材
料用の包装材料に関する。
一般に写真フィルムや印画紙等の写真感光材料は、光に
晒されるとその品質価値を矢なうため、包装に際しては
光を完全に遮るような包装材料が使用される。その包装
材料を包装袋に使用する場合には被包装物の大きさ、重
量に応じて充分な物理強度、即ち引張り強度、引裂き強
度等を持たせる必要がある。またその包装材料で感光材
料を袋詰め包装する場合は、ヒートシールにより閉口部
を完全密封し、遮光と防湿を行う関係上、、包装材料に
ヒートシール適性およびヒートシール強度を持たせるこ
とも必要である。さらに、ヒートシールをした袋では袋
が容易に開封でき、かつ切り口が良好である(乱れない
)ことが要求される。従来、上述した如き写真感光材料
用の包装袋としては、その用途により多少形態は異なる
が、袋の四方を完全にシールした状態で使用するものが
多く、そしてこのような袋を作るための包装材料として
は第1図に示す如く、カーボンブラックや顔料を練り込
んで遮光性を持たせた低密度ポリエチレンフィルム1に
紙、アルミ箔、セロフアン等の可操性層(フレキシブル
層)2を接着層3を介してラミネートして成るものが一
般に知られている。しかしながら、前述した無延伸の低
密度ポリエチレンフィルムーから成る包装材料は物理強
度及び防湿性の点で必ずしも満足するものではなく、こ
のような特性を持たせるためにはフィルム1自体の厚み
を増す必要があった。
また、遮光性を持たせるために前述した如きカーボンブ
ラックや顔料等の遮光性物質を添加するとフィルムーの
物理強度が低下する傾向があり、従ってこの遮光性を持
たせるためには前記同様にフィルム1の厚みを増す必要
があった。
しかしながらこのように厚みを増した包装材料を用いて
製袋した場合には、川 開封に際し、手で切り開くこと
が困難となり、たとえ開封ノッチを袋に設けたとしても
引裂き方向が−定しないため切り口が乱れて美観を損う
こと。
{ii} 厚みが増大する分だけ包装材料の製造コスト
がアップすること。
{iii} 厚手のフィルムに紙等を貼り合わせるとフ
ィルム自体の収縮が大きく影響し、ラミネートフィルム
のカールが大きくなって製袋が困難となる。

本発明は、従来の写真感光材料用の包装材料の有する上
記欠点を除去し、薄手であっても十分な物理強度を有し
、開封性を有し、また安価に製造できる写真感光材料用
の包装材料を提供することを目的とする。
本発明のか)る目的は分子が一軸万向に箔酉己向した熱
可塑性配向フィルムの一面に、該熱可塑性酉己向フィル
ムの酉己向軸と直交する方向の引裂き強度よりも4・さ
し、引裂き強度を有するフレキシブル層を設けて成るこ
とを特徴とする写真感光材料用包装材料によって達成さ
れる。本発明者らは、一枚の配向フィルムは、配向軸方
向の引張り強度及び該軸と直角方向の引裂き強度は大き
いのに対し、配向軸方向の引裂き強度は極めて小さく、
かつ直線状に引き裂けることに着目し、本発明を成すに
至ったが、この詳細は以下の実施例から明らかにされよ
う。第2図は本発明の好ましい実施態様を示す断面図で
ある。
図において1′は4.5%のカーボンブラックを含む4
5〆厚の高密度ポリエチレン配向フィルム(配向角が長
さ方向に45度)、2′は35A厚、30夕/あの紙、
3は水分含有率が0.03%以下、15仏厚の低密度ポ
リエチレン接着層である。こ)に紙2′には、配向フィ
ルム1′の配向軸と直交する方向の引裂き強度より小な
る引裂き強度を有するものが用いられる。本包装材料は
以上の如き三層から成るもので、製造する場合には、配
向フィルム1′の上に低密度ポリエチレン接着層3を塗
設し、この上に紙2′をラミネートすることによって達
成される。
これらの製造工程には公知のラミネータが適用される。
以上の如く構成された包装材料を用いて包装袋を作る場
合には、袋の開封方向と前記配向フィルム1′の配向軸
とを一致させる如く包装材料を位置決めし、製袋する。
本包装材料の作用効果は次の実施例から明らかにされよ
う。実施例 本発明包装材料による袋と、従来包装材料による袋とを
同一条件で比較したところ第1表に示す結果が得られた
こ)に従来包装材料とは第1図に示す層構成において、
1はカーボンブラックを3%含有する50仏厚の低密度
ポリエチレン(無配向)フィルム、2は35仏厚30タ
ノあの紙(但し引裂き強度に対する限定なし)、3は第
2図に示す本発明包装材料と同一の水分含有率が0.0
3%以下、15一厚の低密度ポリエチレン接着層である
。第1表第1表から明らかなように、本発明包装材料は
、従来包装材料に較べ、物理強度、遮光性、開封性の全
ての点ですぐれ、また材料の総厚を小さくすることがで
きるので20%のコストダウンが計れる利点がある。
以上、本発明の内容を一実施例に基き説明して来たが、
本発明は必ずしもこれに限定されるものではなく種々の
変更が可能である。
第3図及び第4図は本発明包装材料の変更例を示すもの
で、第3図は高密度ポリ工チレン配向フィルム1′の一
面に溶融した熱可塑性樹脂層2″を膜厚13#以上に塗
設したもの、第4図は防湿性を持たせるため、前記第2
図に示す層構成にさらに接着層3を介してアルミ箔2′
′′を競層したものである。
これら熱可塑性配向フィルム1′の一面に設けられる熱
可塑性樹脂2″あるいは紙2′、アルミ箔2川等から成
るフレキシブル層はいずれも配向フィルム1′の配向軸
と直交する方向のその引裂き強度が配向フィルム1′の
引裂き強度よりも4・さし・ことが必要であることは云
うまでもない。
本発明において配向フィルム1′の一面に設けられる層
は、紙2′や熱可塑性樹脂層2″の外熱可塑性樹脂フィ
ルムラミネート層、セロハン、アルミ箔、布、合成紙等
の従来公知のフレキシブル層を適用することができる。
また、配向フィルム1′は高密度ポリエチレンフィルム
に限らず、配向軸が長手方向に0度〜90度、さらに好
ましくは0度及び45度〜90度配向したポリプロピレ
ンフィルム、ポリスチレン、ナイロン、塩化ビニリデン
、PET等を適用することが可能である。配向フィルム
1′の厚みは用途により異なるが、30仏〜60山程度
が望ましい。前記態様においては遮光性を持たせるため
配向フィルム1′に遮光性物質を含有させたが、これを
紙2′や熱可塑性樹脂層2″等のフレキシブル層又は3
の接着層に含有させてもよい。
3の接着層に水又は発泡剤等を添加して接着層中に空洞
を設けたり、又はスジ状にラミネートすることにより本
発明の効果をあげることができる。
なお遮光性物質としては、カーボンブラックの外、アル
ミ、鉄マグネシウム、スズ、亜鉛またはこれらの合金等
の金属粉末や硫酸バリウム、クレー、カオリン、タルク
、炭酸カルシウム、酸化チタン等の顔料、あるいは着色
染料等が用いられ、これらの添加量は包装材料全体で0
.1夕/で〜7夕/で(さらに好ましくは1夕/で〜5
夕/め)であることが好ましい。
以上に詳述したように、本発明に係る写真感光材料用包
装材料は、配向軸方向及び該軸と直角方向の特有の性質
を持った配向フィルムと引裂き強度の面で限定を加えた
フレキシブル層と積層して成るもので、前述したように
、本包装材料によるときは十分な物理強度が得られ、袋
として用いた場合には極めて容易に開封することができ
、かつ美しい切り口が得られ、また材料の製造コストが
安くなるという顕著な効果を奏する。

    【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 1 分子が一軸に配向し遮光性物質を含む熱可塑性配向
    フイルムの一面に、低密度ポリエチレン接着層を介して
    、該熱可塑性配向フイルムの配向軸と直交する方向の引
    裂き強度よりも小さい引裂き強度を有するフレキシブル
    層を設けて成ることを特徴とする写真感光材料用包装材
    料。
