Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及聚酯纤维基质,所述纤维基质至少部分地用具有包含特定全氟聚醚的组合物进行表面涂覆及其制备方法。相对于未经涂覆的纤维基质,表面涂覆后的所述聚酯纤维基质具有改进的耐磨性。
背景技术
聚酯是在其主链上包含酯官能团的一类聚合物。最熟知的聚酯是聚对苯二甲酸亚烷基酯,其包括聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)、聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯(PTT)和聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯(PBT)。已知聚酯纤维的性质如高韧性、低吸水性、防霉性、防皱性、以及对比其它的合成纤维最小的收缩性。聚酯纤维的主要应用包括服装、家居装饰如地毯、窗帘、幕帘、墙布和家具装潢面料。聚酯纤维的其它应用包括软管、输送带、轮胎补强线、以及在枕头、盖被和家具装饰垫中作为减震和隔离材料的纤维填塞物。
由于聚酯固有的性质,人们一直在寻找聚酯应用在工业织物、运动服装、绳具或地毯中能增进其耐磨性的方法。增进聚酯纤维耐磨性的方法包括如提高纤维的基本粗细、改变纤维的截面形状或在纤维的纺丝/拉伸过程中改变条件。另外,可在熔融纺丝前,在聚酯中加入无机填料,如JP4228113公开了由包含2%TiO2的PET纱制得的编织织物显示出高撕裂强度。
但是,人们仍然需要一种通过使用适当的涂覆或喷涂组合物进行简单地表面处理而进一步增进聚酯纤维基质(如织物、地毯)耐磨性的方法。
将包含含氟聚合物的组合物涂覆或喷涂至纤维基质以改变其物理/化学性质已有先例。例如US2003/0139521公开了使纤维基质防油和/或防水的含氟化学组合物。U.S.专利4,929,471公开了在聚酯织物的制备过程中,使用含有全氟烷基官能团的乙烯基醚的聚合物来制备具有与丝绸或人造丝相似物理性质的聚酯织物。
因此,找到适用于聚酯纤维基质的表面处理组合物以改进其耐磨性是令人期待的。
发明内容
本发明的一个方面提供了涂覆基质,其中所述涂覆基质是由聚酯组成的纤维基质,其中所述的纤维基质在其至少部分的表面上涂覆有包含式I的全氟聚醚的涂覆组合物:
F-[CF(CF3)-CF2O]n-CF2CF3(I)
其中n是5到100的整数。
优选地,式I的全氟聚醚的n是10到60的整数。
根据一个实施方案,本发明的涂覆基质中的聚酯选自聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)、聚对苯二甲酸丙二酷(PTT)和聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯(PBT)及其混合物。聚酯优选是聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯均聚物或包含70重量%或以上聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯的聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯共聚物,所述百分数是相对于共聚物的总重。
聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯是通过对苯二甲酸或对苯二甲酸二甲酯与1,3-丙二醇之间的反应制备而得,其中1,3-丙二醇优选地从可再生资源通过生物化学方法得到。
根据一个实施方案,所述的纤维基质选自纤维、纱线、织物和地毯。
根据一个实施方案,涂覆基质包含相对于涂覆基质的总重,约0.1重量%至约50重量%的式I的全氟聚醚。
本发明的另一方面提供用于改进由聚酯组成的纤维基质的耐磨性的方法,其包括以下步骤:
(i)将包含式I的全氟聚醚的涂覆组合物施用于至少部分所述纤维基质的表面,
F-[CF(CF3)-CF2O]n-CF2CF3(I)

聚酯纤维基质
聚酯聚合物对于本领域技术人员是熟知的,包括可从醇和二羧酸或其酯通过酯化反应或酯交换反应衍生而得的缩聚反应产物。
所述的醇包括具有2至约10个碳原子的二醇,如乙二醇、丙二醇、丁二醇、甲氧基聚亚烷基二醇、新戊二醇、1,3-丙二醇、1,4-丁二醇、1,6-己二醇、二甘醇、聚乙二醇、环己烷二甲醇、或它们中的两种或更多种的组合物。其它合适的二元醇包括乙二醇、1,4-丁二醇、1,2-丙二醇、二甘醇、三甘醇、1,3-丁二醇、1,5-戊二醇、1,6-己二醇、1,2-、1,3-和1,4-环己烷二甲醇、通过二元醇或多元醇与环氧烷烃的反应产物制备的更长链的二醇和多元醇、或它们中的两种或更多种的组合物。
所述的二羧酸包括对苯二甲酸、丁二酸、己二酸、壬二酸、癸二酸、戊二酸、间苯二甲酸、1,10-癸烷二酸、苯二甲酸、十二烷二酸、形成酯的等同物(例如:二酯,如对苯二甲酸二甲酯)、或它们中的两种或更多种的组合物。用于形成聚酯的其它二酸包括间苯二甲酸、1,4-环己烷二羧酸、1,3-环己烷二羧酸、丁二酸、戊二酸、己二酸、癸二酸、1,12-十二烷二酸及它们的衍生物,如这些二羧酸的二甲酯、二乙酯、二丙酯、或它们中的两种或更多种的组合物。
聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)是通过乙二醇和对苯二甲酸(或对苯二甲酸二甲酯)的缩聚反应制备的聚酯。PET可以是PET均聚物或优选包含70重量%或以上聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯的PET共聚物、或其混合物。PET共聚物可使用高达30重量%的、由其它二醇或二酸制得的聚酯进行改性,上述百分数是相对于共聚物的总重。
聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯(PTT)是可通过1,3-丙二醇和对苯二甲酸(或对苯二甲酸二甲酯)的缩聚反应进行制备的聚酯。在制备PTT中所使用的1,3-丙二醇优选通过生物化学方法从可再生资源中得到(“生物-衍生的1,3-丙二醇”)。PTT可以是PTT均聚物或优选包含70重量%或以上PTT的PTT共聚物、或其混合物。PTT共聚物可使用高达30重量%的、由其它二醇或二酸制得的聚酯进行改性,上述百分数是相对于共聚物的总重。最优选的树脂是PTT均聚物。
聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯(PBT)是可通过1,4-丁二醇和对苯二甲酸(或对苯二甲酸二甲酯)的缩聚反应进行制备的聚酯。PBT可以是PBT均聚物或优选包含70重量%或以上PBT的PBT共聚物、或其混合物。PBT共聚物可使用高达30重量%的、由其它二醇或二酸制得的聚酯进行改性,上述百分数是相对于共聚物的总重。最优选的树脂是PBT均聚物。
因为聚酯及其制备方法对于本领域技术人员是熟知的,在此出于行文简洁的考虑,省略对其做进一步的说明。
在一个实施方案中,由聚酯组成的纤维基质选自PET、PTT、PBT及其混合物。在另一个实施方案中,在聚酯组成的纤维基质中,所述的聚酯选自PTT均聚物或包含70重量%或以上PTT的PTT共聚物,所述百分数是相对于共聚物的总重。
在本发明中,对聚酯组成的纤维基质没有特别的限制。出于本发明的目的,术语“纤维基质”包括在衣服、家居装饰、地毯及其它消费产品中使用的纤维、纱线、织物、纺织品或最终产品。本发明的纤维基质可以是“针织的”、“织造的”或“非织造的”基质。非织造的基质可包括网状纤维或通过施用热、缠结和/或压力而结合的纤维毡(batt)类基质。
特别优选的本发明的纤维基质包括纤维、纱线、织物和地毯。
涂覆组合物
根据其分子量和多种物理特性,六氟环氧丙烷所衍生的高分子量聚合物,包括其封端衍生物和链增长衍生物,是适于作为如高性能弹性体、分散剂或润滑剂的。出人意料地发现了使用包含式I的全氟聚醚的涂覆组合物对聚酯纤维基质以相对简单和直接的方式进行表面处理,提供了增进耐磨性的效果。
本发明的涂覆组合物包含式I的全氟聚醚:
F-[CF(CF3)-CF2O]n-CF2CF3(I)
其中,n是5到100的整数。
本发明的涂覆组合物优选包含式I的全氟聚醚,其中n是10到60的整数,更优选15到40的整数。
本发明的涂覆组合物优选包含式I的全氟聚醚,其分子量为1000到16000,更优选1800到10000,最优选2600到7000。
本发明的涂覆组合物可以包含至少一种的溶剂。适用于本发明的溶剂没有特殊的限定,只要是能够溶解或分散所述式I的全氟聚醚的溶剂即可。合适的溶剂包括沸点在100℃以下的(全)氟化的溶剂。例如,全氟聚醚,如GaldenTM HT55(沸点55℃);全氟烷烃,如全氟辛烷、全氟己烷;氢氟烷烃,如2H,3H-十氟戊烷(DuPont公司,VertrelXF,沸点55℃);(全)氟环烷烃,如1H,1H,2H-七氟环戊烷(ZeororaTM-H,沸点82.5℃);3M公司销售的商用名为Novec的氢氟醚,包括甲氧基九氟丁烷(HFE-7100,沸点61℃)、乙氧基九氟丁烷(HFE-7200,沸点76℃)、2-三氟甲基-3-乙氧基十氟己烷(HFE 7300,沸点98℃);氢氟聚醚,如H-GaldenTM ZV60(沸点60℃)。优选的溶剂包括2H,3H-十氟戊烷和甲氧基九氟丁烷。
在另一个实施方案中,本发明的涂覆组合物还可包含为达到并维持所需粘度的增稠剂、香料、染料;或这些组分中任意两种或更多种的混合物。
本发明的涂覆组合物还可包含其它的成分以提供聚酯纤维基质额外的益处和/或改进的性能和配制物。
本发明的涂覆组合物可以溶液、凝胶、喷涂剂或泡沫膏等形式施用于所述的纤维基质。
根据涂覆组合物的施用方法,在所述的涂覆组合物中式I的全氟聚醚或其混合物的用量(以重量%表示)典型地可在所述涂覆组合物总重的约0.1%至约50%,优选在约1%至约40%,并且更优选地在约5%至约20%之间变化。
在所述的涂覆组合物中溶剂用量(以重量%表示)可在所述涂覆组合物总重的约50%至约99.9%,优选在约60%至约99.0%,并且更优选地在约80%至约95%之间变化。
在所述的涂覆组合物中增稠剂的用量(以重量%表示)可在所述涂覆组合物总重的约0%至约10%,优选在约0.1%至约5%,并且更优选地在约0.2%至约1%之间变化。
在所述的涂覆组合物中香料的用量(以重量%表示)可在所述涂覆组合物总重的约0%至约15%,优选在约0.1%至约10%,并且更优选地在约0.2%至约5%之间变化。
特别合适的式I的全氟聚醚实例包括全氟聚醚商业产品,如KrytoxTMGPL-104、KrytoxTM GPL-105或KrytoxTM GPL-106氟化油(分别具有约3000、4800和6000的平均分子量,可购自E.I.du Pont de Nemours andCompany(Wilmington,Del,USA)。
此外,U.S.专利4,356,291(Du Pont)亦描述了多种末端基团封端的全氟聚醚及其制备方法。
本发明的涂覆组合物可能是以如溶液、凝胶、糊状、喷涂剂或泡沫膏的形式存在。可通过浸渍、浸透、雾化、或通过喷涂方法,将本发明的涂覆组合物施用于纤维基质(如纤维、纱线、织物、衣服、地毯或其它物质)并随后通过干燥步骤。
本发明的涂覆组合物优选以透明液体存在并用作浸渍溶液或喷涂剂,其在环境条件下,在较长的时间下稳定并维持其液体状态而不发生胶凝。
参见以下的一般性组成的表1。
本发明的涂覆组合物如以喷涂剂的形式施用,则优选具有约0.3cP至约0.5cP范围内的粘度;如以液体护理剂形式施用,则优选具有约100cP至约450cP范围内的粘度。
本发明的优点在于无需添加现有技术中已知昂贵的粘度调节剂即可达到所述优选范围的粘度。

表面处理方法
本发明还涉及以下所述用于改进由聚酯组成的纤维基质的耐磨性的方法。
本发明的涂覆组合物可通过多种常规步骤将其施用于纤维基质。对于可洗涤的服装织物的应用,将所述的涂覆组合物通过如刷涂、浸渍、喷涂、浸轧、辊涂、泡沫涂覆等方法进行施用。可将它们施用于染色和未染色的纺织品基质。对于地毯的应用,通过浸入涂覆溶液,或用喷涂涂覆溶液和/或泡沫膏可将本发明的涂覆组合物施用于地毯的一面。
本发明的涂覆组合物可以适合不同的施用方法和/或装置,只要将有效量的所述涂覆组合物涂覆至纤维基质的至少部分的表面以达到理想所需的耐磨性改进即可。对于纤维、纱线、织物和纺织品,本发明的涂覆组合物优选以约0.1g/L至约50g/L,更优选约0.5g/L至约25g/L的浓度进行涂覆。
将本发明涂覆组合物施用于纤维基质典型地通过将所述的纤维基质浸入涂覆组合物经过足够长的时间(从几秒至几分钟),足以吸收足够多的涂覆组合物,或通过将所述涂覆组合物喷涂至纤维基质的表面。
使用本发明的涂覆组合物至少部分地涂覆在纤维基质的表面后,将所述的纤维基质在从室温至约60℃的温度下进行干燥。所述的纤维基质可以是纤维、纱线、织物(针织的或织造的)、或非织造的基质。对于较大的纤维基质如地毯则优选在室温下空气中进行干燥。在干燥后,任选地将表面涂覆过的纤维基质用水进行清洗,并以前述相同的方法进行干燥。此外,还可将所述的涂覆组合物施用多次以提高其耐磨性。
对于干燥后的涂覆基质,如纤维、纱线、织物、纺织品或地毯,所施用的涂覆组合物的量应占相对于涂覆基质(即表面涂覆过的纤维基质)的总重约0.1重量%至50约重量%的式I的全氟聚醚;前提是所述的表面处理没有显著地影响纤维基质的外观和触感。更优选地,所述的涂覆基质包含,相对于涂覆基质的总重,约1重量%至约35重量%的式I的全氟聚醚。最优选地,所述的涂覆基质包含,相对于表面涂覆的纤维基质的总重,约5重量%至约20重量%的式I的全氟聚醚。
由此,本发明的一个实施方案涉及用于改进由聚酯组成的纤维基质的耐磨性的方法,其包括以下的步骤:
(i)将至少部分所述纤维基质的表面浸入包含式I的全氟聚醚的涂覆组合物中,

材料
在实施例中的聚酯纤维基质是PTT所组成的(平纹织造)织物,也被称为SORONA,得自E.I.DuPont de Nemours and Company(Wilmington,Del,USA)。
在实施例中所使用的式I的全氟聚醚包括得自E.I.DuPont de Nemoursand Company(Wilmington,Del,USA)的KrytoxTM GPL104(分子量约3000),KrytoxTM GPL 105(分子量约4800)和KrytoxTM GPL106(分子量约6000)。
涂覆组合物
如下制备涂覆组合物:
1)涂覆溶液A:使用2H,3H-十氟戊烷(CAS号:138495-42-8)将KrytoxTM GPL104稀释为10重量%的溶液。
2)涂覆溶液B:使用2H,3H-十氟戊烷(CAS号:138495-42-8)将KrytoxTM GPL105稀释为10重量%的溶液。
测试样品的制备
实施例1-6:将所述的织物面料样品切成10cm宽和10cm长的条状,并测定记录其初始重量W0。将所述的样品浸入涂覆溶液中30秒;在室温下干燥至恒重;并记录经表面处理的织物样品重量(W1)。在温和搅拌下,将干燥过的织物样品浸入1000mL水中1小时。将织物样品取出并平放在在真空烘箱中,室温下干燥至恒重,并记录其最终重量(W2)。
实施例7-12:将所述的织物面料样品切成10cm宽和10cm长的条状,并测定记录其初始重量W0。将所述样品的大部分表面上喷涂涂覆溶液;在室温下干燥至恒重;并记录经表面处理的织物样品重量(W1)。在温和搅拌下,将干燥过的织物样品浸入1000mL水中1小时。将织物样品取出并平放在在真空烘箱中,室温下干燥至恒重,并记录其最终重量(W2)。
对比样品的制备
除了将织物浸入1000mL水(对比实施例1-3)或将织物喷涂水(对比实施例4-5),而不是含式I的全氟聚醚的涂覆溶液之外,对比织物样品均以相同的方式制备作为测试样品。
磨耗测试和结果
使用根据ASTM标准D3884-07的Taber磨耗测试评估织物样品的磨损性能。机器型号是TaberTM 5131磨耗机,其具有CS-10磨耗轮以及1000克的载荷。轮速为60圈/min。在每次磨耗测试后,用抛光纸将磨耗轮重新抛光25圈。通过造成单纱断裂的磨耗圈数来评估耐磨性。
表2列出了实施例1至6和对比实施例1至3的涂覆结果和它们的磨耗性能。

Claims (9)
1.涂覆基质,其中所述涂覆基质是由聚酯组成的纤维基质,其中所述纤维基质在其至少部分的表面上涂覆有涂覆组合物,所述涂覆组合物由式I的全氟聚醚、至少一种溶剂、和任选存在的增稠剂、香料、染料以及其它添加剂组成:
F-[CF(CF3)-CF2O]n-CF2CF3(I)
其中,n是5到100的整数,
并且,相对于涂覆基质的总重,所述涂覆基质包含0.1重量%至50重量%的式I的全氟聚醚。
2.根据权利要求1所述的涂覆基质,其中式I的全氟聚醚的n是10到60的整数。
3.根据权利要求1所述的涂覆基质,其中所述聚酯选自聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯、聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯、聚对苯二甲酸丁二酯及其混合物。
4.根据权利要求1所述的涂覆基质,其中所述聚酯是聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯均聚物或包含70重量%或以上聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯的聚对苯二甲酸丙二酯共聚物,所述百分数是相对于共聚物的总重。
5.根据权利要求1所述的涂覆基质,其中所述纤维基质选自纤维、纱线和织物。
6.根据权利要求1所述的涂覆基质,其中所述纤维基质是地毯。
7.根据权利要求1所述的涂覆基质,其中所述涂覆组合物包含相对于涂覆组合物的总重,0.1重量%至50重量%的式I的全氟聚醚或其混合物。
8.改进由聚酯组成的纤维基质的耐磨性的方法,其包括以下的步骤:
(i)将涂覆组合物施用于至少部分所述纤维基质的表面,所述涂覆组合物由式I的全氟聚醚、至少一种溶剂、和任选存在的增稠剂、香料、染料以及其它添加剂组成:
F-[CF(CF3)-CF2O]n-CF2CF3(I)
其中n是5到100的整数;
(ii)将表面涂覆过的纤维基质进行干燥;并且
(iii)任选地使用水冲洗步骤(ii)中得到的表面涂覆过的纤维基质;并且将冲洗后的纤维基质进行干燥,
其中,相对于涂覆的纤维基质的总重,所述涂覆的纤维基质包含0.1重量%至50重量%的式I的全氟聚醚。
9.根据权利要求8所述的方法,其中所述施用方法是选自刷涂、浸渍、喷涂、浸轧、辊涂或泡沫涂覆。
