Abstract
Un procedimiento para preparar una composición de poliéster, en el que 80% en moles o más de las unidades repetitivas constituyentes están constituidas por unidades de tereftalato de etileno o unidades de 2,6-naftalato de etileno y contienen partículas de sílice esféricas, que comprende: someter a una reacción de esterificación ácido tereftálico o ácido naftaleno-2,6-dicarboxílico o ésteres de los mismos y etilenglicol, someter el producto de reacción de dicha reacción de esterificación a una reacción de policondensación en presencia de compuestos de antimonio (Sb) y/o compuestos de magnesio (Mg) en calidad de catalizador, en una cantidad definida por las siguientes fórmulas (4)-(6): 0 Sb 1,5 (4) 0 Mg 10 (5) 0,5 6Sb + Mg 15 (6) en donde Sb es el número total de moles de compuestos de antimonio por 10 6 gramos del poliéster, y Mg es el número total de moles de compuestos de magnesio por 10 6 gramos del poliéster, y añadir dichas partículas de sílice esféricas en cualquier etapa hasta que secomplete la reacción de policondensación inicial, es decir, en una etapa en la que la viscosidad intrínseca del producto de reacción sea 0,2 o inferior, en una cantidad de 0,001 a 5% en peso, basada en el poliéster a producir, siendo dichas partículas amorfas y obteniéndose al someter alcoxisilano a una reacción de hidrólisis y a una reacción de condensación en presencia de un catalizador de tipo amina, y que tienen un diámetro medio de 0,01 a 3,0 m y estando el índice de dispersión del diámetro de dichas partículas, representado por la siguiente fórmula (1), en el intervalo de 1,1 a 2,7: d10/d90 (1) en donde d10 es el diámetro de la partícula cuando su número acumulativo es 10% del número total de dichas partículas, d90 es el diámetro de la partícula cuando su número acumulativo es 90% del número total de dichas partículas y d10 y d90, se miden bajo un microscopio electrónico, calculándose dichos números acumulativos comenzando con el tamano de partícula mayor.
