SE PRESENTA UNA CELULA DE LEVADURA TRANSFORMADA QUE CONTIENE UNA PRIMERA SECUENCIA DE DNA HOMOLOGO QUE CODIFICA UN RECEPTOR ACOPLADO A LA PROTEINA G DE UN MAMIFERO Y UNA SEGUNDA SECUENCIA HETEROLOGA DE DNA QUE CODIFICA UNA SUBUNIDAD (ALFA) DE MAMIFERO. LA PRIMERA Y LA SEGUNDA SECUENCIA HETEROLOGA DE DNA ES CAPAZ DE EXPRESARSE EN LA CELULA, PERO LA CELULA ES INCAPAZ DE EXPRESAR UNA SUBUNIDAD (ALFA) DE LA PROTEINA G ENDOGENA (G(ALFA) DE LA LEVADURA). LAS CELULAS SON UTILES PARA FILTRAR COMPUESTOS QUE SEAN ACEPTADOS POR LA PROPORCION DE DISOCIACION DE G(ALFA) A PARTIR DE G(BETA)GAMMA EN UNA CELULA. TAMBIEN SE PRESENTA UN NUEVO VECTOR DE EXPRESION DE DNA UTIL PARA OBTENER CELULAS COMO LAS DESCRITAS ANTERIORMENTE. EL VECTOR CONTIENE UN PRIMER SEGMENTO QUE CONTIENE AL MENOS UN FRAGMENTO DE FRECUENCIA QUE CODIFICA EL AMINO TERMINAL DEL EXTREMO DEL RECEPTOR ACOPLADO DE LA PROTEINA G DE LA LEVADURA. UN SEGUNDO SEGMENTO SE SITUA DEBAJO DEL PRIMER SEGMENTO (Y EN UNA ESTRUCTURA DE LECTURA COMPUESTA CONEL MISMO), COMPRENDIENDO EL SEGUNDO SEGMENTO UNA SECUENCIA DE DNA QUE CODIFICA UN RECEPTOR APROPIADO A LA PROTEINA G HETEROLOGA.
