PURPOSE:To enlarge a film area by forming the oxide superconductive film of Ln-Ba-Cu-O system with an organic solvent mixed to form a paste state, applied to a substrate, dried, and then sintered, as well as oxides of Ln, Ba, and Cu are melted, temporarily burned, and reduced. CONSTITUTION:Each powder of DY2O3 as a Dy oxide, BaCO3 as a Ba oxide, and CuO as a Cu oxide is mixed at the mole ratio of 1:4:6, and stirred with a stirrer with an organic solvent added. Then the organic solvent is made to vaporize and ground into powder with a mortar. The powder is hardened to have a given shape by five time pressing at a forming pressure of 750kgf/cm<2>. An oxide superconductive substance having a composition of DyBa2Cu3O7-delta is obtained with the pellet placed in an infrared rays furnace, temporarily burned for five hours at 950 deg.C in oxygen, and slowly cooled. The substance is reduced into powder and made to a paste state with an organic solvent mixed. An oxide superconductive film of DyBa2Cu3O7-delta, 0<=delta<=1 having the size of 10cmX30cm is manufactured with the paste-state kneading object applied to a sapphire substrate, dried, and sintered for one hour at 1000 deg.C in oxygen.
