Abstract

This utility model disclosed a straight-type plastic pipe coupling which comprises a stepped tubular body member and identical opposed coupling nut member. The stepped tubular body member has identical and enlarged opposed end portions provided with external threads and the intermediate portion provided with parallel holding ribs. The tubular body member has stepped axial bores defined by outer, intermediate, and inner bores, the intermediate and inner bores defining therein respective shoulders. An O-ring gasket and a sleeve pusher are provided in the outer bore and adapted to be in telescopic relation with the pipe to be connected. Each of the coupling nut member is provided with internally threaded bore adapted to be screwed on the tubular body member and a conically shaped bore extending from the internally threaded bore to define therein a shoulder. A conical pipe grip insert is provided in the conically shaped bore and having a cut-out portion to provide contraction when pressed along the conically shaped bore. The sleeve pusher is provided with an annular end flange with skirt whereby the annular end flange being engaged with the conical pipe grip insert and the skirt being engaged with the shoulder of the coupling nut member.
