Abstract

This utility disclosed a plastic pipe coupling which comprises a tubular body having an opposed inner and outer externally threaded end portions with a hexagonally-shaped intermediate portion adapted to serve for turning the tubular body. Tubular body has stepped axial bore to define therein a shoulder. An O-ring gasket is seated on the shoulder. A tubular member is fitted on the axial bore of the inner externally threaded end portion while the outer externally threaded end portion being adapted to be screwably connected to a pipe fitting. Tubular member has an annular flange at the inner end portion thereof with annular groove being provided therein. A complimentary O-ring gasket has an annular rib being tightly received in the annular groove. An internally threaded cap nut is screwably connected to the inner externally threaded end portion of the tubular body with sapced-parallel ribs adapted to hold the cap nut when turning the tubular body.
