Abstract

This utility model disclosed an elbow-type plastic pipe coupling for connecting unthreaded pipes. Pipe coupling comprises a bended tubular body member and coupling nut member screwably connected on the opposing ends of tubular body member. Tubular body member has identical and enlarge externally threaded end portions with stepped axial bores formed by inner and outer bores to define therein annular shoulder. A sleeve pusher is provided within tubular body member and has annular flange at the outer end thereof and an O-ring gasket at the inner end thereof which in turn is seated on annular shoulder of tubular body member. Coupling nut member has internal threads for mating with externally threaded tubular body member and conically-shaped inner surface at the rearward portion thereof and annular rib being provided adjacent rear end of internal threads thereof which engages with annular flange of sleeve pusher. A conical pipe grip insert is provided in conically-shaped inner surface for firmly holding unthreaded plastic pipe.
