【発明の詳細な説明】
本発明は貯水池、ため池、産業廃棄物の処理池、水路、
河川などの遮水、建築構築物の屋根等の防水に使用する
加硫ゴムシートの接合方法、詳しくは加硫ゴムシー1〜
のランプ状にした耳部同志の間にオレフィン系熱可塑性
樹脂を挟み、次にこのラップ部に超音波振動を与えた後
、転圧してなる加硫ゴムシートの接合方法に関する。

り種々の方法が提案されているが、未だこれと言った決

を介在された加硫ゴムシートの」二下から加熱、加圧し
てスポット加硫する方法があるが、この場合高温、高圧
にして加硫しなければ目標とする接着力が得られず、更
には接合部分の加硫ゴムシートが熱劣化を生じる欠点が
あり、更には短時間に接合出来ない欠点があった。

本発明は上述の様な従来法の諸欠点を改善するもので、
その目的とするところは短時間において加硫ゴムシート
同志をバラツキなく強固に接合し、熱効率の良好な接合
方法を提供するものである。

すなわち、本発明の特徴は加硫合成ゴムからなる防水シ
ート同志を接合するにあたり、該加硫ゴムシートのラン
プ部にオレフィン系熱可塑性樹脂フィルムを介在させ、
次に前記樹脂フィルムを超音波振動によって溶融し、そ
の後、このう・ノブ部を転圧してなる加硫ゴムシー1の
接合方法にある。

来の接着剤あるいは未加硫シートに用いるスポツl、加
硫する方法に比べて溶接スピードは大巾に改善される。

以下、本発明接合工法の具体的実施態様を添付図面を参
照しつつ詳細に説明する。

前記超音波を使用するとオレフィン系熱可塑性樹脂フィ
ルムを短時間に熔融すると同時に、熱源を一定にして直
接性能に寄与する要因を設定できるために、非常に接着
力の安定した加硫ゴムシートの接合部を得ることが出来
、しかも振動子の位置する領域のみの熱源となるため接
合部分の冷却効率もよく、極めて熱効率の良好な接合方
法となる。

候性の優れた、例えばエチレン−プロピレン、クーポリ
マー(EPT)、ブチルゴム(IIR)あるいはEPT
とIIRのブレンド物力1らなるものが防水シートとし
て用いられることからのぞましく、その厚みも超音波振
動の減衰を防止するところから3.Om−下が好ましい
ことが実験の結果判明した。

上記の方法で接合した加硫ゴムシートの接合部を約50
cm間隔にて25龍中X 15 Q +im長のタンザ
ク型に10個切断し、剥離試験(剥離速度50龍/分、
測定温度22°C)のサンプルとした。得られた結果を

熱風溶接では接着力のバラツキが大きく、また、溶接速
度によって接着力の水準が異なる結果が得られたが、本
発明方法にあっては溶接速度に影響なく均一な接着力を

このようなことから、本発明方法はオレフィン系熱可塑
性樹脂フィルムを短時間に溶融し、しかも超音波振動子
の位置する領域のみの熱源となるため接合部の冷却効果
もよく極めて熱効率の良好な接合方法であり、更に熱風
溶接と異なり常に一定の条件で該フィルムを溶融できる
ことからバラツキの少ない接着力を有する接合部分が得
られる。

Claims (1)
- 1、 エチレン−プロピレン、ターポリマー、ブチルゴ
ムあるいはこれらのブレンド物からなる加硫ゴムシート
同志を接合するにあたり、加硫ゴムシートの接合部にオ
レフィン系熱可塑性樹脂フィルムを介在させた後、かか
る樹脂フィルムを超音波振動によって溶融し、次いて前
記ランプ部を転圧してなることを特徴とする加硫ゴムシ
ートの接合方法
