Claims (17)
1. Fremgangsmåde til udformning af en genstand ud fra en α+β-titanlegering, der i vægtprocent omfatter fra 3,50 til 5,00 aluminium, fra 2,00 til 3,00 vanadium, fra 1,00 til 2,00 jern, fra 0,20 til 0,30 oxygen, op til i alt 0,5 andre elementer, hvor de i alt 0,5 andre elementer kan indbefatte en eller flere af: højst 0,1 af hver af chrom, nikkel, molybdæn, zirconium, tin, carbon og nitrogen og højst 0,015 hydrogen, og resten titan og tilfældige urenheder, hvor fremgangsmåden omfatter: koldbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området omkring omgivelsestemperatur til 260° C (500° F) til en 20 % til 60 % arealreduktion; og ældning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området 371 ° C til 649° C (700° F til 1200° F) efter koldbearbejdningen; hvor fremgangsmåden ikke omfatter en opløsningsbehandling mellem koldbearbejdningen og ældningen.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor ældningen udføres direkte efter koldbearbejdningen.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende koldbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen til en 20 % til 40 % arealreduktion.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor koldbearbejdningen af α+β- titanlegeringen omfatter mindst to deformeringscyklusser, hvor hver cyklus omfatter koldbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen til en mindst 10 % arealreduktion.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor koldbearbejdningen af α+β- titanlegeringen omfatter mindst to deformeringscyklusser, hvor hver cyklus omfatter koldbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen til en mindst 20 % arealre- duktion.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende koldbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området omkring omgivelsestemperatur til 204°C (400° F).
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende koldbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved omgivelsestemperatur.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende ældning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området 427° C til 593° C (800° F til 1150° F) efter koldbearbejdningen.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende ældning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området 454° C til 593° C (850° F til 1100° F) efter koldbearbejdningen.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, omfattende ældning af α+β- titanlegeringen i op til 50 timer.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 10, omfattende ældning af α+β- titanlegeringen i 0,5 til 10 timer.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, endvidere omfattende varmbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området 137° C til 14° C (300° F til 25° F) under β-transustemperaturen på α+β-titanlegeringen, hvor varmbearbejdningen udføres før koldbearbejdningen.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, endvidere omfattende udglødning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området 649° C til 816° C (1200° F til 1500° F), hvor udglødningen udføres mellem varmbearbejdningen og koldbearbejdningen.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 12, omfattende varmbearbejdning af α+β-titanlegeringen ved en temperatur i området 816° C til 968° C (1500° F til 1775° F).
15. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor α+β-titanlegeringen i vægtprocent omfatter fra 3,50 til 4,50 aluminium, fra 2,00 til 3,00 vanadium, fra 1,20 til 1,80 jern, fra 0,20 til 0,30 oxygen, op til 0,08 carbon, op til 0,03 nitrogen, op til 0,015 hydrogen, op til i alt 0,3 andre elementer og resten titan og tilfældige urenheder.
16. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor koldbearbejdningen af α+β- titanlegeringen omfatter koldbearbejdning ved hjælp af mindst en handling, der er valgt fra gruppen bestående af rulning, smedning, ekstrudering, vandring, vipning og trækning.
